Kalinga School of Management - where great manager come from

KSOM is one of the most beautiful campus of KIIT. The curriculum is definately very well structured , the pass out students have definately done very well. Academic procedure starts with some thoeritical knowledge just to build the base of the career with great exposure to why management is the back bone of any institution . Every week there are open mic talk on the topic , which are judged by jury members who are member of big companies . recently harvard prof were invited to teach students all over different branches of university. management related debate , expo are conducted very frequently . many comapnies have setted there offices in the campus itself like highradius , CME group ,etc and many MOU's have been signed between the companies and the KSOM. semester based examination occur where there is 50% weightage to the end semester exam and rest is carried by mid sem , quiz and assignments. one suggestion would be to give more exposure to industry ready skills and upgrade it.

many companies come and offer as per there need , KSOM there exist roles as HR executive, Product Manager , public relation expert , a diversed , companies own office exist too. all offer stipend based on skills but roughly around 50000-100000 is offered. two types of project exist one is minor and another is major both gives you credit in score and also makes to eligible for degree.

After 5th sem you are eligible to get placements in the campus. 25+ comapnies come and offer around 4lakh - 10 lakh making average around 9 lakhs as per college site. highest is 15 lakh per annum . around 70% gets placed and rest opt for higher studies and some even drop out of college. after degree i want to work for a big company and constatntly grow my skills.

KSOM does not support hike in the fees , the fees at which you have taken admission remains the same for all the years of the program.even if the costing of resources increase the college will never charge you extra on fees. its the legacy of the KSOM to not increase the fees at any cost. the total cost depends on the hostel you take but the tution fees stands around 9 lakh and further if you add basic hostel with 3 bedded non ac then it will cost you around 12-13 lakhs. based on KIITEE exam rank if you are in top 1000 you recieve scholarship for 4 years and another one which is offered is based on the rank you get during the semester exams. The companies tie ups and training being start by 2 year makes it great to invest, yes KSOM have a KIIT Digital branch it gives student internships and also stipends around 4000-5000 based on skills you can contribute.

Every year there is a techinical and cultural fest organizied , where different schools participate , it generally occurs in the month of feb, last time on the ocassion of 25 years there was 1.5 months of huge celebration. the normal fest apart from karnival lasts for 3 days where the last day is dedicated for star night.KSOM have its own departmental library while there exist a whole 6 floors international level library also. All classrooms are well maintained with smart screens and fully A/C. There exist more than 25+ societies including tech , management , NCC,NSS and many more, every time there is some event happening , irrespective of of program you choose you can attend them.

when you join the hostel you are provided a new matress, a pillow , a pair of bed sheets , a woolen body cover , bucket and small cups ,etc. Hostel room have separate table chairs for each member of the room and a big almirah sufficient for all your needs. Meal is awesome as compared to other colleges hygenic and well balanced and also it gets updated in after some time. while enrolling you are asked to fill the application for hostel there you need to mention the room type you need, its really affordable as any issue is fied within 1 day and proper cleaning of room takes place every day. there exist PGs around the campus but hostels are more prefered.

Eligibility is 50% aggregate marks in 10th and 12th boards.candidates those who have appeared in the 12th examination and expecting results before 31st August,2024 can also apply for the program also those who have appeared in UGAT can also apply with valid score. Further candidate will be selected based on their UGAT Score or Career Marks and Performance in Personal Interview. apart from the above exam score ,KSOM takes admission based on KIITEE Management entrance exam which is of 2.5hrs exam with 150 multiple choice questions. This year it was conducted on 19-21 jan 2024, happens once after this same procedure of Personal interview takes place. It is a easy to medium level paper. one suggestion would be to take or conduct a session where people will show case there management skills .
