Remarks

The college is decently managed and run. I think one must seriously aim for coming at BRICK.

Entrance Preview

NATA is the way through to the college. I had given NATA for which I did coaching but that was useless

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is completely based on your creativity and how innovative one can be. We need to go through the topic and research at the farthest way possible. The research is then applied in the design process, construction techniques etc. More one researches, better are the chances of attaining good design.

Internships Opportunities

The internship is based completely on the portfolio of students and the students need to apply for internship on themselves in the fifth year

Placement Experience

3

Most of the students prefer working on their own after five years. Mainly setting up their own office. I have seen many students getting a job at the company where they did their internship and also many students going abroad for Masters in Architecture. Also one gets a job on his abilities.

College Events

4.5

The college has many events occurring throughout the year. There is a student's Council which hosts events. From guru purnima to Independent day to holi. The college has an annual fest in the month of January where eminent architects come as speakers teaching students about the way to practice architecture.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee of tg college is Rs. 1.2 lakhs per year. And the fee is quite apt according to the facilities provided by the college. There are labs, common rooms, good toilets and also bus facilities. There are great discounts for the Minority classes. There is a student fund of three thousand five hundred which depends on the student council.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college gives discounts provided by the university to the minorities. There are no scholarships as such.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is great and happening. All the events are celebrated inside the college itself. Although the college is just for architecture and interior design students, it big enough with space for parking. There is an anti-ragging committee to help students. The environment is pretty enthusiastic.

Hostel Facilities

3

There is no hostel at present in the college, the college is preparing to build one. There are apartments near to college where students can easily get in and the rent is around 6-7 thousand for a 2Bhk apartment Which can be shared by 2-4students. There are multiple tiffin services also available in the college Lane.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a good bond between seniors and juniors which is important for an architectural student as they need to learn from seniors a lot.

Admission

NATA is the entrance test for admission to any architectural college in India. The NATA score in combination with the class 12th percentage is taken into account. The NATA score is divided by 4 and the 12th class score is divided by 2 and then added.

Faculty

4

The faculty at BRICK is quite cooperative with the students and try to come to the solution to every problem in the best way possible for the students. They are a mix of experience and young energy. The faculty always comes up with something interesting for the students.

The reason i choose architecture because it fascinates me how a place can be developed into holistic place interests me . The curriculum has some good inputs but it doesn't make you industry ready extra efforts should be taken to learn advance softwares extra classes newer research etc discussion on advance technology becomes important in modern age how architecture is changing is not discussed

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation. There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Placement Experience:

For architecure departments, usually there are no placements, but since this Institute is autonomous, they have startes conducting placements drive. Last year 10/12 students were placed in good firms all over banglore, pune, kolhapur. I plan on applying to different firms all over Maharashtra and would also hope to get placement via college since the packages that are offered are good. Placement percentage is anywhere between 12-15%. The highest package offered was around 5,40,000, average package for a architecture student would be-around 3lakhs.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.
