Course Curriculum Overview
The aspects that I considered were the fusion of design and engineering in this course which led me here. The curriculum is very practical and it does prepare you for real world. The teaching methods are very hands on . The exams aren't even that stressful to worry about. We just worry about our submissions.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees is 7,50,000/- for 5 years. Which is 1.5 lack per year. The hostel expenses upto 51000 per year which includes living and meals twice a day. We have to pay additionally for all the settlement study tours per year which are almost 15000. Then there's stationary costs 5000/- per month. I'm not so much aware about campus placements if there are any. There are category wise scholarships for SC, ST, and OBC students. Also EWS. Also merit based scholarships which one can apply for.
Campus Life
The college fest which lasts for 1 week is called enthuva. It's energetic and engaging. It brings students from all years closer. The council fund is well spent. We also have various workshops. The library is accessible to everyone till 5:30 pm. They only have books related to curriculum and architecture. Not many fiction. We have projectors and screens in all the classrooms. We have a computer lab to learn our softwares. There are many student groups which keeps track of parties and social events happening around.
Admission
The entrance exam to get into the college are NATA exam held by Council of Architecture, and also the jee mains paper 2. It's easy to get into this college as it's a private college, you have to score more than 70/200 in nata to qualify. Even easier if you have a caste reservation. You can apply directly through mhtcetcell Cap rounds after which if you are alloted, you can come to the college to pay the admission fee . The NATA exam is conducted thrice a year, and jee barch is conducted twice a year. From March to August generally. The exams aren't that difficult you can self study or have coachings if you want.
Faculty
The faculty is very approachable at least in the first year they were. We can have one on one interactions with them often. They do take their jobs seriously. Most of them have 10 yrs plus experience.
Other Applied Colleges
MIT Institute of Design - [MITID] | Bachelor of Design [B.Des] (Product Design)
The fees was around 27,00,000/- for 4 years of degree, plus additional charges for hostel and canteen, it was very expensive considering we'll spend even more as its design were studying.
