Dislikes
- The campus is in a remote area and as someone from Bengaluru I feel out of place.
- DSA is taught in C language. Although the curriculum is good a very little bit of it is outdated.
- Computers at the computer lab don't work, you got to get your own.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course cause CSE is pretty popular these days.The faculty:student ratio is around 1:15. The course is excellent as the college has mentorship from IIIT hyderabad and the faculty members are quite knowledgeable.There are 3 exams per semester. The exams are quite difficult but it's not a big deal to pass as your grade is not entirely dependent on exams but also on assignments, labs etc..
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities at IIIT Sri City are diverse and regularly updated. The college's career services and placement cell actively share information about available internships. Students also explore platforms like LinkedIn and Internshala, participate in career fairs, and seek guidance from professors to identify suitable opportunities.
Placement Experience
Placements are pretty good in our college with an average of 18lpa but the only issue is that the placement percentage is not 100. Top companies like microsoft , adobe etc.. do visit the campus. The heighest package is around 80lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is really high it's around 4 lacs per year and there are not many scholarship options if you are not a resident of Andra pradesh. There are no on campus jobs. The fee amount only increases every semester and there is no sign of it decreasing.
Campus Life
We have our annual fest called Abhisarga which is suprising enjoyable as for which month it's conducted changes every year, we also have another fest named Uthkrishta. The main problem with the fests is that they are usually conducted in the exams period. We do have a library with lots of books which not many use, you can find all the academy related books in there. Classrooms are spacious and well air conditioned. You can play verity of spors on the campus including Volleyball, throwball, criket, table tennis etc.. Our clg has a GDSC club run by google, another club called IOTA which is similer to it but run by students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are pretty good but the maintainence is not up to the mark. You get a three sharing room in the first year and then a two sharing room from the secound. There are a large verity of meals provided but the quality is just passable. Hostel fee is quite affordeble, you don't have much of a choice as there are no PGs nearby.
Admission
The admission process requires you to write the entrance exam "JEE mains" after which you can apply for conselling through JOSAA. The max cut-off for IIITS is around 26k and an OBC rank of 7k. All the forms can be filled online
