Course Curriculum Overview

MBA HR is the reputed course of this department. Course Curriculum has relevance for current needs in the industry.Alumni network is strong. Faculty of department has great domain knowledge but student faculty ratio is bit low, to compensate for that department hire guest faculty on regular basis. Semester system is followed for the examinations and there is not much pressure of studies on students.

Internships Opportunities

Internships offered here are of average quality. Certain students get good internship opportunities but not everyone. You can find on your own good internship opportunities and department has good reputation to get internship opportunities off campus

Placement Experience

Placements are above average. After third semester companies starts coming to campus for recruitment. Around seventy percent placements are happened in placement week and overall more than ninty percent students are placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is very less compared to other business schools. You can complete your MBA in approximately one lakh rupees, it includes all the expenses like tution fees, placement charges, books, computer charges, examination fees. For stay you can opt for hostels. Hostels are also quite affordable. Approximately twelve thousand is required yearly.

Campus Life

As this is not only a business school. It is different from others as this is a department of a renowned university in which there are several other departments also. So life is quite sociable. Various cultural fests of University are held in the month of February. UBS also has various cells and clubs like placement cell, alumni relations cell, consulting club, Fitness club.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are quite affordable. Hostel rent charges are nearly one thousand per month. Meal charges are taken as per diet which you have eaten. In hostels you make friends from other departments also. If you do not want hostel then you also consider PG in nearby sectors.

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

Admission

Admission is through CAT exam only. GD PI will be held around May - June. You can visit UBS chandigarh or puchd website for further details. All application related details will be given on the website

Interview Experience

After shortlisting from CAT exam you have to face Group Discussion round and Personal Interview process. GD PI process is normal. You can crack with basic knowledge of your undergraduate subjects and current affairs.

Thapar the unique approach to MBA

Placement Experience:

students are eliglible for placements when they pass previous backlogs and have 75% attendance. almost 50+ companies showed up mostly taking resume and not conducting any interviews. avg. package: 6L almost 70% students got placed mostly in sales.

Placement Experience:

The placement were so bad I mean the company came but they only took sales people rather than coming the finance profile or the operation profile so minimum package was 2 lakh doing mba getting low is quite not good

A Valuable Learning Curve with Real-World Exposure

Placement Experience:

Placement in the college are decent. Mostly students got placed for sales and marketing role. There are very few companies who came for Finance ,HR and Operations and other specializatins. So mostly at the end other specialix=zation students end up with getting a job role in slaes or marketing only.

Generally the placement drives starts during semester 3. Few name of the companies which visits campus Is Deloitte, American Express, Oxane Partners, Nestle & L'oreal etc. Highest package is 24.81 LPA & Average package is 8.17 LPA.

A genuine review by a genuine person whom you can relied upon.

A person needs to take the CAT entrance test and have graduated in any stream with a minimum of 50% for the general category and 45% for other categories. As there is no such cutoff for CAT. Best ROI

It takes admissions through CAT examination and GD+PI round.Applications starts from December and we have to provide documentation through mail, various types of reservations are their for eg ex-servicemen, rural area , single girl child etc which one can view on prospectus available online. The weightage of CAT percentile is more ,but students should also focus on Gd/pi because it really plays part in admission process,so after gd/pi students are assigned ranks and admission takes place accordingly.
