Course Curriculum Overview

As I completed my bachelor in urban planning, hence I pursued urban management for master. The faculty to ratio is amazing as it is a very niche program, the ratio is somewhere between 1:1 and 1:2 The faculties are very well qualified, most of them have completed their PhD The exams are in every 3months, the 2years is divided in 6trimsters

I was interning with quantum leap studio and I was provided with stipend Major projects included marketing campaign and strategy building for an ongoing project. The internship helped me in knowing the industry much better

The placement in Urban management is very good. The avera Package is 10.5LPA and many companies visited from urban domain like GT, Janagraha and many consulting groups like Kpmg ey pwc etc All students got placed in my batch.

As being the niche course the course feels expected to be same for the next 2 years The financial assistance is through loan that the college is tied up to for easy paperwork. But apart from that no job on campus, but internship are mostly stipend

Campus Life

The annual fest xamboree happen every year and it is for 3 days, where musical nights DJ nights are conducted The college do provides various platforms where we can get in touch with people from business world, like various events such as symposium and summits are conducted

Hostel Facilities

There are single sharing double sharing rooms available and the quality of food is good. The diversity in the food is its USP. The registration happens centrally, there is ala carte which provides seamless service to the students

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

There was entrance exam, called XGMT and post that there was a PI round. The XGMT paper involved more quants and qualitative. The PI round involved the in-depth of urban management and urban planning. Knowledge of cities and urban planning is an added advantage.

The college has a 100% placement record. The college provides a good placement package for MBA. The college placement is as per the standards of NITs. The college placement committee is very helpful and cooperative. The placement committee helps us and guides us throughout the placement process and makes sure that every one of us is placed. The college placement committee is successful in inviting good companies for the placement round. The highest package for our batch was around 38 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. To sit on a campus one needs to have a minimum of 80% attendance. Total 60 companies participated in the placement process which starts just after last year even during the pandemic time more than 90% of students got placed in various companies. The highest package was 10 lacs offered by BYJU's in Marketing and the average package was 4/5 lacs. Placement Experience:

For campus placements regular mock GD & PI sessions were conducted. On every saturday Guest faculties were invited who enlighten the student with their grassroot level insights. KSRM has a very strong alumni network who supports the students in their placements. There are specific courses like Innovation in rural development & entrepreneurship which boost the students for start-up. KIIT has its own business incubator known as KIIT TBI. Which nourishes the startup Ideas of student with guidance & financial support.

Well talking about my University, we have world class infrastructure with well maintained, CCTV Surveillance system. Very disciplined about student's activity. Mentioning about the academics we have a flexible structure where everything counts in your marking component. For example, a subject named Principal of Marketing, the marking component divides into various aspects. 25 marks carries for Mid semester exam, 30 marks carries for end semesters exam, 25 marks carries for assignment, 10 marks carries for quiz and last 10 marks carries for class participation and group activity. In total the 100 marks for entire one semester is covered for one subjects accordingly this method applies to other subjects. The admission process is quite simple, students are accessed through merits and PI with panel.
