A Comprehensive Review of LNJPIT, Chapra

Seeing the growth opportunity in the field of computer science I chosed this course. Faculty to student ratio is relatively low in CSE department. Approximately 1/35. All the faculty are well qualified and from premier institutions like IIT, NITs. The recruitment of faculties are happens through exam conducted by BPSC

Pool campus placements are organized by university in Patna. 70% of CSE students get placed last year with the highest pakage 7 lakhs per annum. But for other branch it's worse. Majority of students prepare for gate and other competitive exams.

Fees are generally the same and atleast, not been increased since 2021 as 80% of the cost are beared by the government. Also, many scholarships like PMS by Bihar government, NPS by Indian government are given. Also, there is ultra-low interest student loan of 4L can be availed by students with weak financial background.

Life at Campus is decent. Annual fest happens every year from 5-8 September. The name of the annual fest is Astitva. It is organized by student body Daksha. In Daksha, there are many clubs like technical club, sports club, Art & culture Club, photography club etc. Majority of Books related to science and technology are there in the library. Classrooms are also decent with proper lighting, fans and a smart board. Cricket, volleyball & football are the outdoor games which are played regularly by students. In fact LNJPIT, chapra reigning volleyball champion in inter-college sports meet.

There are 5 hostels for boys and 2 for girls. Hostel H1 & H2 have single occupancy rooms whereas Hostel H3, H4 & H5 have two or three seaters(approx 80% of these are 2 seaters). Mess food quality is Average but you can take as much amount of food you can eat. Hostel registration happens after the admission and allotment of hostels happens afterwards. Taking about affordability, hostels are very affordable approx ?1300 for a month(?7830 for 6 months). Mess charge is ?3000 per month for three meal each day. You can also get good room nearby at the price of ?2000-?3000

Admissions in LNJPIT, Chapra happens on basis of the jee mains score and the BCECE counselling. From 2023 the seats in computer science engineering were increased by 60 seats(60+60=120 total). Application for BCECE counselling generally starts after one month of jee mains result(ie 2nd jee mains attempt). Fee to participate in the counselling is ?800. Refer this-https://bceceboard.bihar.gov.in/ 75% of seats are reserved, 43% for BC+EBC, 10% for EWS, 20% for SC, 2% for ST. Additionally 33% of the seats are reserved for girl candidates in all these catogory rservation. Rest, 25% seats are unreserved. Admission dates get rescheduled every year, creating lots of questions to the candidates. It should be fixed.
