- Another thing about our university is , it is one of India's beautiful university surrounding by lush green forests and mountains which adds more beauty to it .
- There were cricket tournaments and cultural programs in our society . Which is and was my best part in this university.
Dislikes
- Exams were mostly delayed and were conducted in very harsh conditions.
- Teacher's were not much serious about their responsibility.
- Corruption was there , which could've been eradicated by seniors but they didn't give any eye .
Course Curriculum Overview
I choosed this course for only one reason, I just love literature! About faculty , it was very low as compared to the students ratio , we barely had a full classes . Qualification was good but they were lacking experience of teaching . We never had a satisfaction and doubt clearance. Honestly speaking , University of Kashmir may be beautiful physically but there is a lot of corruption inside and needs systematic improvement, they always delayed our exams with lame excuses during winter time and also late results which effected our career alot. Now the situation is more worse as there is semester type exams . 3 year course gets completed in 4-5 years .
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure was good , majority were capable of affording this , but talking about cost to study it was little hard for us as we have to travel 30-35 kilometres everyday to reach there . But overall cost to study was affordable. Yes, there were some financial assistance for poor students through pm scholarship program but till now I haven't seen any placement or stipend there.
Campus Life
Annual fest were awesome. Every year we had a annual fest and there were lot of opportunities for students to showcase and bring their talents on stage . Yes , we have books and journals in our college library . It was quite a good experience there. Yes , we had few emenities in our classrooms like black board , lecture desk , chairs and charts, etc. °We mostly had cricket facility in our campus but not more than cricket . ° Yes we were having a group of students working as social volunteers but no clubs or website.
Admission
The Admission process was easy and minimum eligibility was 45% and it is the only college in my district, so I applied and took the course in bachelor in Arts. After completing my higher education, I was informed by my friends and relatives about application form , fees and dates and it was offline to apply there . I belong to the RBA category and but honestly I didn't received any benefits through this. yes , there needs a lot of improvement in our college but specifically talking about admission process , it should be made online through the college portal , so that the students from far flung areas could easily apply through online mode .
