Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the course because I want to go ahead with biotechnology as a career. Faculty of biotechnology are great personalities with thorough knowledge of subject and industrial knowledge as well. There's a positive interaction between students and faculties. Faculties are highly qualified with PHD qualifications and also cleared all India national exams as well as some are from USA. Two exams are conducted per semester internal and external. Faculties support with exam preparation as well and it's not difficult to pass.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 45000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Nominal fees is there in this college and scholarships are also available and scholarships assistance is also provided in college. Open category scholarship for both girls and boys are available other than reserved category. Reserved category students has to pay only 1/4 amount of the fees per year. Post matric and rajashri shahu Maharaj scholarship and OBC scholarship for higher education are available. Job placement is there in campuses many companies do visit and college encourages for internships as well.

Campus Life

Saksham event is conducted by college every year in December where different days are celebrated. Innovative tech festival and entrepreneurship events are organised with IQAC coordination. Other departmental fests are also conducted in various months. 35000+ books are available in library and science and commerce and engineering have their different library availability. As well as e-book and online institutional I'd are provided for international sources. Extracurricular activities and sports are highly encouraged and Gymkhana is always available for assistance. VIVA student council,NSS and DLLE departments are runned in institution. Instagram and Facebook page of students council is maintained.

Admission

12 th with physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and biology subjects was eligibility criteria. 60% and above for general category. Application form was available through University of Mumbai and college official website itself. SC/ST and OBC reservation are available in the college quota. But no reservations benefits were taken by me. Management works properly in admission process so no improvement required.

From which semester students become maximum students are placement.company name I don't know I no experience , highest package is 15LPA and average is 5 to 6LPA , then percentage of placements students is 50% to 60%percentage students are playes.

The best place to get admission

Placement Experience:

Students who completed their masters are eligible for placements. Companies include Pharma, Biotech, R&d, agri companies, food industries, we can apply there. Well from 3rd semester students can apply and visit different companies previously, haidrabad, banglore are visited by our seniors. Students get salary of 30000-40000 ,there are students selected for multiple high rated companies. 30-40% Students get placed. I want to pursue Phd from India as I am more focus in research.

Placement Experience:

Placements in Fergusson are pretty good. Students are eligible for sitting in the placement drives from the 3rd semester, we also get Pre-placment activities and tests before the drive starts. We get companies like Axtria, Vois , bluepineapple etc on campus. The highest package is 10 - 12 lakhs and 4-6 lakhs on an average. In my batch out of the 30 people we 20 are placed so far on campus.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the GIPE are decent. This year the highest package offered was 18 lakhs per annum by Deloitte and IDFC FIRST Bank. Although the placements are not 100% but it's around 60%. Students need to work hard and score well in aptitude test and they should start the preparation from the second semester onwards so that they can easily manage their end semester exams as well as the aptitude test. The average placement package is around 8-9 lakhs. My plan is to get a corporate job and gain some experience and exposure in the corporate world and learn how the things actually work. Many companies that come to the college are looking for data analytics role. The ratio of the companies looking for consultant, risk analyst is less based on market demand and other circumstances.

By the end of sem3 itself, the postgraduates are deployed into interviews for certain internships. But if you are with good academic scores and knowledge you can even get directly placed. Every individual is given 3 chances by the college to get and crack the interview but if the student is not able to then he is guided to where to apply but mostly ICRI makes sure everyone is placed as the college proudly stays with its 100% placement tag line. As I told here there are varied background people here with different needs of roles, the highest package I have seen getting is 15L pa to the lowest of 3L pa which even depends upon the company to your broad spectrum of knowledge. To specify which companies come here for recruitment are sun pharma, Cipla, and many more there are all 20+ companies that come and hire the intellectuals. To specify about me I am planning to get a CRC post as a start for CRA in the future.

PG not given any campus you will get a job on your ability. We have to prepare for set net after MSc but there are some companies visited college like Wipro. They provide job but the salary is around 25000 per month.
