MDI Murshidabad follows B-school standards in its course curriculum, offering a comprehensive and meticulously organized program. My choice of this course stems from a profound interest in finance, and the faculty, particularly in finance, effectively imparts knowledge. The faculty-to-student ratio ensures individualized attention, fostering an optimal learning atmosphere. Faculty members boast noteworthy qualifications, contributing to their expertise in the subjects they teach. The teaching methods, well-received, prioritize practical applications. The structured assessment includes term exams conducted six times in the first year (three terms with mid-term and end-term assessments). These exams are complemented by diverse assessment methods such as projects, assignments, group presentations, class participation, and surprise quizzes, enhancing the overall evaluation process.
Internships Opportunities

The highest monthly stipend reached INR 1.60 Lakhs, with an average stipend of INR 42.50 K. A total of 54 recruiters participated, including 37 new ones. MDI Murshidabad's campus, nestled in a green 10-acre space, exudes vibrancy. The well-equipped library offers a plethora of books and journals, serving as a valuable academic resource. Classrooms are modern and conducive to learning. The campus encourages a dynamic atmosphere for sports and extracurricular activities. With approximately 23 student-driven clubs spanning various interests, students have numerous opportunities to engage in diverse activities, contributing to a vibrant social life. Beyond official events, students frequently participate in social groups and clubs, enriching their overall campus experience.
Hostel Facilities
I can provide insights into the hostel accommodations at MDI Murshidabad. The institute comprises two boys' hostels, namely Eklavya and Siraj, and one girls' hostel named Bhagirathi. Rooms are available in single and double occupancy, with attached bathrooms for double occupancy. The facilities are extensive, featuring a swimming pool, chess, badminton, football, volleyball courts, cricket court, pool table, TT table, common rooms, and a gym. The hostel meals are noteworthy, offering a diverse menu to cater to various preferences. In comparison to other hostels, both the amenities and food quality have been positively standout based on my experiences. Note- double occupancy is only for boys.
Admission
MDI Murshidabad's two-year course admission process is conducted online and includes a Written Ability Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview. Eligibility requires candidates to have a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA in their qualifying examination. The application form is available on the MDI Murshidabad website, with an application fee of RS1150 , as of my last update. The deadline for applications this year is mid Feb. Reservation benefits are outlined in the institute's official guidelines. During my time, the recommended CAT exam cutoff for this college was above 75 percentile, as it exclusively considers CAT scores. To enhance the process, improving transparency in the selection criteria and providing clearer information on reservation benefits could be valuable for potential applicants. However if you have work experience 70+ is good enough.
Interview Experience
I underwent interviews and a Written Ability Test (WAT) during my MDI Murshidabad admission process. WAT topics and interview questions varied, often touching on current affairs, personal experiences, and opinions on relevant subjects. MDI Murshidabad's admission process typically considers CAT scores, academic performance, group discussions, WAT, and personal interviews. To prepare, I followed a self-study approach, utilizing online resources, practicing common interview questions, staying updated on current affairs, and honing my writing skills for the WAT. Regular mock interviews and group discussions with peers were instrumental in my preparation. Current affairs is a must and along with it you must have a keen knowledge about your bachelors or work experience if you have any
