My experience with UBS CHANDIGARH, Panjab university

I chose this course because it offers the best ROI. The faculty-to-student ratio is 30 to 1. Some teachers with a Ph.D. possess excellent teaching skills, while others with JRF and SRF have poor teaching skills. They can have up to two CTs in a semester, with 1 MST and 1 EST. If you work hard in your studies, you can pass the semester.

If you have a strong profile and good communication skills, you can secure a summer internship at a reputable company. Otherwise, you may have to settle for a startup. Various companies such as Dabur, HDFC, Amex, Volvo, SBI, and Bajaj are offering different internship opportunities.

Throughout the year, it has performed consistently, with companies offering roles in various domains such as consulting, finance, product management, operations, general management, sales, and marketing. Our highest placement package for 2022-2023 is 13.72 LPA. However, the report for the placements of the 2024 batch has yet to be released.

Our college has very nominal tuition and hostel fees, without any hidden or extra charges. However, the cost of living in Chandigarh is high. roughly 30% to 40 % of students can get hostel accommodations. You can expect a decent summer internship from our college with good placements, with a median salary of 13.72 LPA.

There are two libraries available at Panjab University: the Central Library and the UBS Library. They offer a wide range of books and journals and have excellent infrastructure. Classrooms are spacious but lack projectors or smart boards, making the learning experience poor. They have four cells: placement, alumni relations, public relations, and business. They also have four clubs: health and wellness, investment, consulting, and environment.

The registration process for the hostel is easy and the charges are affordable at 6300 per semester. However, the quality of food in the mess is below average. On the other hand, the quality of food in the central canteen is excellent. It's worth noting that the cost of living outside the campus is relatively high and may not be as affordable as living on campus.

COLLEGE INFO: University Business School Panjab University Chandigarh is one of the top B-schools in India. It provides an MBA in four domains: MBA general, MBA IB, MBA HR, and MBA EP. It is one of the best colleges in terms of ROI. It is graded A++ by NAAC in the year 2023. ELIGIBILITY: CAT COURSES AND FEES: tuition fees for the two-year MBA program are 66000. Other charges include books 20000, computers and library 10000, and a hostel 12600. PLACEMENTS: It has been performing consistently throughout the years. Companies ranging from top MNCs to startups have been visiting the college for the past few years. Our highest package for the placements of the batch of 2022-2023 stands at 13.72 LPA. IMPROVEMENT: This college has 60+ years of legacy but not as good a relationship with alumni as a top B-School should maintain.

For MBA admissions, CAT carries 85% weightage while GD and PI carry a weightage of 7.5% each. With only 120 seats available, competition for admission is high. The admission process is too lengthy and chaotic due to a lack of coordination among staff members. During counseling, four merit lists are released weekly, and it's necessary to be present on each list for seat conversion.
