Likes

The best thing about the college was it's strict discipline regarding how the classes were conducted. The schedule is followed strictly and the professors do adhere to it . This shows the commitment of the University towards achieving excellence.
The campus covers a huge area and the class has all amenities required by the students. The campus is full of greenery and provides for the holistic growth of the students.
The faculty is very supportive and consists of highly qualified individuals who are experts in imparting education. They interact with the students with compassion and clear all doubts regarding the subjects.

Dislikes

Maintaining a minimum attendance percentage of 75 is necessary, the failure of which will debar the students from giving examinations.
The timetable is not followed strictly and is frequently changed which creates inconsistency in the lives of the students.
The management is very poor and does not provide adequate knowledge regarding various aspects like informing students about any event or holiday.

I chose the field of law because it is very interesting. The teachers are mostly compassionate towards the students and teach the subject with utmost passion. Most of the teachers have completed their LLB course and have done Masters in Law and some with the additional degree of PhD.

Class Size: 85Course Fees: INR 72900 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

A sum of around 1.2 lakh was taken for the very first Semester including the admission process and the fees was 72000 for every Semester which followed. If you can achieve the top score in your batch, you may be able to get the Merit Scholarship.

Campus Life

The Annual Fest is called Adinova and is held in February. The Adamas Library is filled with books in different fields and there is a separate Law Library for providing the students expertise in the field of law. A wide range of clubs are there and students are free to participate in any club, they range from Film Club to Photograph Club and aim to enhance the skills of students.

Admission

The Admission process was really simple. There are no specific requirements apart from the fact that he must have completed his schooling. They took an entrance test which was held online and required basic knowledge regarding language, logical reasoning and other aspects.

Heritage Law College is Lovely!!

Placement Experience:

Number of students who have been placed is far less than what it should be ideally. Kolkata is a paradise for law practice as it is the largest city of India and lawyers have always been in demand here. Still only 30% of the students are placed here and that's a big issue considering the name of our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main thing that I love about the curriculum is that we need to study in depth. Our syllabus contains most basic to really professional level stuff which really help us prepare for real life experiences and further academic pursuits. The only change i would like is more practical experiences that would be helpful.

Heritage Law College is a heritage of legal studies!

Placement Experience:

In the final year when some law firms and legal houses of Calcutta High Court approach our college for placements. If one gets at top law firm them the packages are around 8-10 lakhs but if under a lawyer the salary is just 2-3 lakhs a year.

Memories in March - A true fact about My College

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was fond of international reletaions in my +2 days, thats why I choose Political Science as my honours subject over History. Hence. later I found very boring and monotonous in the first year of its syllabus. After having 3 years of immense syllabus, I have finally fall in love with subject in the final as my beloved IR(International Relations) subjects finally came into my life. There was yearly only one exam contains 2 parts accumating questions.

Placement Experience:

NUJS boasts near 100% placements, there is a dedicated Campus Recruitment Committee which has elected student members as well as a Faculty Co-ordinator. Some students get PPOs and therefore they do not sit for Day Zero. Tier 1 and Tier 2 law firms as well as Mncs hire with packages ranging around 14-20 lpa.

I had applied to IEM kolkata, The Neotia University and brainware university simultaneously. I chose this college due to the excellent placements.
