Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is pretty good. Faculty members are also very helpful and well-educated, but I don't have any hesitation in saying that 15% of them are literally just garbage. They don't know how to teach or how to collaborate with the students. But the rest 85% are superb. Exams typically follow MAKAUT rules but CAs and PCAs are not really tough, but to achieve good marks you have to maintain a good percentage of attendance.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

But they offer some internships. But most of them are unpaid. As I said before the campus placements and internships are up to the mark. So you have to apply on your own off-campus. Here you just have to maintain a good relationship with the faculty members to get the internships and other opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

At the time of my admission the total fees of 4 years was 3,84,000, but now I think it slightly increased. I don't know the actual amount but assume that per year cost will be in the range of 90,000 to 96,000. But if you have a marvelous marks or rank on 12th or Entrance exam you can get academic scholarship which can reduce the fees. Rather than that if you have any financial issues and have certificate then you are eligible for financial aid scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is very good, the infrastructure of every classroom and the whole college is just awesome. There is a small lakeside in between the buildings. And it's totally green. The name of the Annual fest is Blitz. At the time of the fest, they conduct many indoor and outdoor sports and cultural events and DJ nights, and especially the food fest. Here you can find two libraries. At the central library there any so many books and of different categories. Class room is also good but there are no Ac's on the classroom. Labs are also good. Here you can find many cultural groups under the CLC , Center for Language and Communication. They conduct many workshops and seminars throughout the year. But many of them is not up to the mark, means useless.

Admission

Mainly here process of admission can be done in 2 ways. First, if you have taken any engineering entrance exam like WBJEE, or JEE Main, you can apply here directly through your counseling, or you can apply for direct admission via your entrance rank or 12th marks. Application forms can be found directly on the college's website or on the Campus office. At the time of your seat booking, they charge a minimum amount like 5K. After that, you have to pay the semester fees or year's fees(Your choice)within 1 month. The admission portal opens every year from June to July month (For engineering).

Placement Experience:

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft. The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles, finance in some cases. The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
