Interview Experience

1

Yes, I did go through a selection process for admission to GITAM. It mainly involved an entrance test, and depending on the course, there could be a Group Discussion (GD) and a Personal Interview (PI) as well. Entrance Test (GITAM GAT): I took the GITAM Admission Test, which was a computer-based test. For my course, it included questions from subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and a section on Critical Thinking. The paper had multiple-choice questions, each carrying two marks, and thankfully, there was no negative marking. The entire test duration was around 2 hours and 30 minutes. GD/PI (for specific courses): Although my course didn’t require GD and PI, I learned that students applying for BBA, MBA, and some management programs had to go through them. The GDs usually covered current affairs or general opinion-based topics like the impact of AI, climate change, or remote work culture. The PI mainly focused on personal background, academic interests, strengths/weaknesses, and career goals. Admission Criteria and Process: The overall admission process was smooth. It started with filling out the online application form, appearing for the GAT, and then waiting for the result and counseling sessions. Some programs also had merit-based admissions or considered other entrance exam scores. Preparation: For the entrance test, I stuck to a disciplined routine. I focused on revising NCERT concepts, solving previous year questions, and taking a lot of mock tests to improve time management. I also brushed up on basic logical reasoning and general aptitude for the critical thinking part. For GD and PI (even though I didn’t appear for them), I prepared by staying updated with current affairs and practicing speaking with clarity and confidence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was relevant and covered all the important subjects, whichh was one of the main reasons I choose this course. it prepared me well for real-world applications, and the basics taught in class were helpful for further studies and job needs. Some area like addinf more practical work, updated tools, and industry-based training could improve the teaching quality. The exams were held regularly each semester, and the difficulty level was moderate, so students could pass easily with proper preparation.

I had been taken computer science and engineering in B.Tech . While I am pursuing intermediate I'm more passionate about becoming an software engineer, so for that reason I had taken CSE . Faculties want to teach us in a understanding way and make us to do gain more practical knowledge Some Improvements want to do in our course , because it mainly focuses on only theoretical part but not on practical part.. so for better understanding of theoretical subject we university want to improve curriculum of our course Computer science and engineering mainly focuses on developing or creating something by using different new technologies. It also connects with the daily use of things in our real world like ATM nd ecommerce etc
