Likes

Faculty is good the staff is very supportive
Location is very nice you can easily plan a trip with friends
Attendance is not that important so you have enough time to develop your skills

Dislikes

Not that good placement as overall package is low
Sports are less promoted by staff they organise evenet but those are handled by students
Hostel are not available for everyone after 1 year

I choose the course bcoz I am very enthusiastic and keen to learn the computer science. The faculty is good and supportive. All the faculty are extremely qualified and have enough knowledge of subject. Exams are held properly each semester is off 6 months

Campus placement is good for cse department but for other department it is not that good . Most of companies that visit are product based and hire employees is masses at low packages ..only few gets high package of around 15-18 lakh

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is paid semester wise ..like half of fees in one semester and half in other . You can take education loan and pay your semester fees . You can getScholarship of your particular state if you are eligible

Campus Life

Janangni is the techfest of gkv Haridwar..it is held every year and students all around the city take part in these events. Collage have huge central library and have enugh books. Sports in collage is not that good like studens show intrest and there is not any supporting staff to teach

Hostel Facilities

Hostel have a bed and a almirah inside room and have huge ground for sports and other activity and off course have a mess . Although the food is not so good ???? but yeah you can survive you can easily get room and pg around if you wish

Hostel Fee: INR 54000 per year

Admission

I got admission through jee mains exmas the cut off of cse is generally 80-85% . The admission process was good and easy the staff is very supportive and the overall experience was good . You can find all the information about admission on gkv official site. You can get benefits of reservation easily through your caste certificate

Things to Know about Uttaranchal University before admission.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are quite bad as only a few companies come to our college for placement drive . Students becomes eligible for campus placement from the 3rd year onwards . Companies visited like TCS , HCL and some other not much popular companies visited but this year placement is very low . Our college also fake advertising about the placement they advertise the interships also as placements. 10 to 20 percent in BTech CSE are getting only Placement. I don't know what I will do after getting degree but currently I am doing a side by side diploma from IIT Roorkee to get some extra knowledge and skill improvement for better placements.

GEU and CSE ho hand in hand!

Placement Experience:

LTI, Polaris, Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Nvidia and what not are there for placements here. Even the Fintech and finance companies like the Axis Bank, Shri Ram Capital Finance and all are here. Thus, placements worth 10-50 lakhs is quite possible at GEU.

Geu provides best intenrships!

Placement Experience:

In GEU placements are like such that we don't have to bother at all. We are approached by placements cell in the 5th semester and then are trained for the whole month and then university urges us to go for internships to have the required exposure and have a CV which can impress the recruiters first hand. Thus, we get placement which median as of now is 8.5 lakhs.

Placement Experience:

McKinsey, Oracle, NVIDIA, Google, TCS, Deloitte and many more come here for placements. Around 15-20 students in 2025 had placements worth over 40 lakhs and four students managed to grab placements worth 50 lakhs or more.

Placement Experience:

Our college has a very good placement ratio and placement also depends on the economy and industry that year and a lot lf other factor but if you have a CGPA of above 8 you are moat likely to get placed. The highest package ranges from 2-3 crores and average goes around 13lpa. I am currently planning to do an MBA after graduation from a foreign university moat likely Harvard.

Specific aspects of the circullum that influenced my decision to choose this course is the computer science department as I love knowing about the computer and the efforts of making daily life problems easy and best thing is that if know how to use the computer well you can earn well enough of money in this world the world only cares about that you have money or not if have they will give you respect if don't have it they treat you like shit.

Engineering in Gurukul Kangri Deemed to be University, Haridwar

It was the only college offering CSE during JOSAA councilling based on my JEE Mains score, so I decided to opt for it without thinking twice. I was offered a seat in special CSAB round. Seats are offered based on JEE Mains scores. Lateral entry for diploma holders is offered directly in 2nd year based on the examination conducted by the University. Firstly we need 12th pass with 75% marks then crack the jee mains examination and sit in the josaa counseling then go into the csab counseling after the counseling crl rank under the 1lakh .
