Remarks
I Wish if the fees could be lowered or the placement should be provided in MNCs not BPOs.
Entrance Preview
The entrance exam I have given is Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test. The process for admission is, once the scores are out you have to apply for colleges online according to your priority list. In 7-10 days college allotments will be announced. After that you have to go to the college and pay the fees and take admission. There was no interview process. During the online allotment the course also comes auto generated so which ever course is in your allotment you have to choose that.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course I have chosen was Bachelor of engineering in information technology. The course was interesting. There is less focus on practical learning as the Rajiv Gandhi technical university's curriculum has more weight-age for theory so obviously college will follow the same. There is practical session for each subject weekly, if there are 4 practical subjects weekly 4 days, 2 lectures are dedicated for practicals. There are many initiatives taken by college in technical field as well as non technical. The elective options available are Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and communication, Chemical, Computer science, and Information technology.
Internships Opportunities
The college does not provide any internship, after the third year you have to go to some company and do internship over there. The certificate has to be shown at the college. Most of the times the studend have to pay the company for getting internship certificate.
Placement Experience
Placements are moderate. At the beginning 2-3 MNCs select the toppers and some students after that many small BPOs and Stock Exchange investment companies come. They select almost 80% students and the job is of business analyst, so only 5% people join the company but the placement% of the college is shown 80-85% due to these small companies. The package that the MNCs offer is 3.5 LPA but average package is 2 LPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees was 88000 per year during my graduation time. There are bank loans available for the same. As belonging in a middle class family, i did not felt the fees is affordable.
Exam Structure
It is a kind of chill culture. Exams are not that frequent. In a semester there is 3 mid semester exams that carry the weight-age of 20 marks and 1 internal assessment of practical subject and 1 external assessment of practical exams, last but not the least the semester exam of 70 marks. The rest 30 marks is the combination of practicals, assignments and internal assessment by teachers.
Faculty
The HOD and Dean are experienced, rest of the professors have to 1-2 years of teaching experience. The teachers are BTech or MTech pass-outs and trying there career in teaching. The teachers are very interactive. The standard of teaching is moderate. The faculties lack experience.
