Course Curriculum Overview
I have keen interest in Computer Science from school as I chose computer science In 11th and 12th standard. Student faculty ratio is good. A faculty teaches around 2-3 classes per semester which is quite good. There are permanent faculty and contractual faculty. Permanent faculty are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They teaches well and takes practical seriously you should study as well in their classes or you will be failed or debarred. Whereas contractual faculty depends on your luck some of them are good and some of them doesn't even know what they are trying to do. Their exams will be relatively easier to pass and score. Each semester you will get at least 2 contractual faculty. Semester exams are conducted timely and properly sometimes they get delayed due to some government events or so. Some subjects are difficult and some are not. Especially subjects permanent faculty teaches those are difficult and they do strict checking whereas others do lineant checking.
Placement Experience
In final year. Campus placements are bad and only offer 8-10 lakh maximum and average package is 4 LPA. Company names are Astrea, Cloud analogy, Hiremi, grapecity etc. Maximum students opt not to take campus placements, they rather focus on off-campus placements or higher study.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are private seats and public seats in the college. Public seats have less fee but private seats have more fee. Our fee is 65000 per semester and our juniors have 75000 per semester. And since then it is 75000 per semester. ( I am currently in 4th year). The total cost of study will be (if you are doing engineering with computer science) is 6 lakh rupees academic. And including hostel and mess will be 2 lakh 80 thousands. For a 4 year b.tech in computer science your total expenses will be around 9-10 lakh. Gautam Buddha University provides U.P state scholarship for students for eligibility criteria you have to be a resident of U.P with U.P's domicile and your guardian should not be a government employee. I don't think there is any other financial assistance. Campus jobs are quite dead right now due to recession but hopefully it will soon be recovered.
Campus Life
There are few fest such as Abhivynajana, Shouryaotsav(inter sports tournament), Davat-e-gbu and tech-fest. These events are conducted in first quarter of the year. There is a pretty good library and you can find nearly every book There. The only good thing about college is infrastructure and classrooms have Air Conditioner and all the basic amenities. Sports culture is quite good. University have all sort of sport facilities like hockey, cricket, football, athletics, basketball, badminton, table tennis, squash , volleyball, gym etc. There are various social Groups such as Techno cultural club, music club, fashion club, drama club, dancing club etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel and mess facilities are poor and i do recommend if you live in Greater Noida or Noida, don't opt for hostel. Rooms are damaged and toilets are in poor condition. Mess food is also bad and you are gonna eat from outside maximum times. Registration process is manual and time consuming and they will allot the room randomly. Hostel is affordable but they should use ERP system. There are no PG near college but you can rent flat in purvanchal and nimbus societies. They are good localities.
Admission
Physics, Chemistry, and Maths are required in intermediate with a minimum 65% in board exams. I applied via Gautam Buddha University's online portal in September. Admissions usually start from August to September, sometimes extending to late October for certain courses. All necessary information is on the university's website. SC/ST candidates receive additional benefits, such as half of the academic fees. Students with Uttar Pradesh domicile can receive scholarships up to 65,000 based on their academic performance. Implementing ERP for a seamless process is crucial, as the college still relies on conventional methods.
Interview Experience
Interviews are quite simple and not so hard you should have a good understanding and reasoning and you are done. Apart from interview there is an exam that asks you basic math, physics and chemistry questions. My JEE Mains preparation came handy in that and I didn't do anything special for interview round.
Other Applied Colleges
DY Patil School of Engineering & Technology | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)
I have to relocate to Pune from Delhi so i decided to enroll in Gautam Buddha University which is located in Greater Noida and close to Delhi.
