A 1st year student reviewing NIT Patna

I choose the CSE department because of my interest in world of computers and also CSE department give a lot of oppertunities in future. The faculty to student ratio in NIT patnais 1:15 which is quite good. All the faculties are well qualified and are very good at their job. Exam are being conducted as per academic calendar and the academic calender is strictly followed. If a student has studied well in class it is most likely he will pass the exam effortlessely.

The companies which visited NIT Patna for Internship are Industry giants like Gooogle, Amazon, Adobe Morgan Stanley, Oracle, Texas Instruments,CGI, BPCL ,Samsung and many others providing students valuable experiences about how to work in real world.

after 6th semester students become eligible for placements. Highest package offered is 51lacks and average package is 13lacksfor the year 2023. 100 percent students are getting placed according to the data published by training and placement cell of nit patna.

Fee structure seems quite good and also there is 100% fee waiver for SC/ST candidates and for students whose family income is less than 1lacks. You can also avail different scholarships in NIT Patna and the administrationon here is also very supportive.

The annual fest is Corona and melange which generally happpens in feburary. The library of NIT Patna has almost all the necessarry books for the students it also has a a lot of journals. Classrooms are well equiped with board projectors ac and other essential amenities. The sports facility in NIT patna is limited because of small campus size but this problem will be solved shortly as soon as we shift to new campus in bihta. there are many clubs in NIT Patna run by students like Roboticclub for robotics related stuffs, Desco club is for designing related, saptak is music club, Natvans is drama and art club, hackslash is coding club and some more cllubs are being run by students.

The sone hostel of nit patna is oldest hostel and the conditiothere is not that good,you can say it is adjustable but the same time all other hostels like ganga(for girls), bramhaputra, kosi and bagmati are very in very good and also you get a study table with a chair in room for studies with a bed. In some hostels except sone you also get a cupboard to keep your stuffs. The menu of NIT Patna hostels are same for all hostels prepared byHostel management committie by considering the nutrition as priority andtaste of food is ok ok sometimes good sometimes bad. Registration for hostel is done in HMC office during admission and overall hostel are affordable as hostel fee remains aroud 41k-42k for even and odd semesters.

Eligibility for admission in NIT Patna is same as for other NITs that is minimum 75% marks in class 12 with Physics, chemistry and maths in class 12. The admission is done by JoSAA coucelling in which your branch and college is decided on the basis of rank you got in JEE mains and advanced. You also get reservation benifits as per central government rules. Also there is 50% home state quota.
