Likes

There is so much greenery in the whole campus
I just love the environment of central library it's perfect for studying
Since it's the main University you don't need to travel too far to get your result marksheet, information about scholarship, etc

Dislikes

Mismanagement and chaotic environment in my department .
Concerns of students are often ignored..
Trees, parks and bushes are not maintained and roads are not cleaned.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I was from commerce background. There are 5- 6 professors in which 3 are permanent faculty and others are guest faculty. Teachers are good and well qualified. The only problem is mismanagement in department and delay in examination process such as payment of fee, examination form and exams.

Class Size: 38Course Fees: INR 25000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Course fee for bcom hons is 25000 per year and hence 1 lakh for 4 years. Students can apply for caste scholarship and medhavi scholarship as well. They need to submit required documents in the department and must be concerned about their respective scholarship . They should track the process because nobody in the department will keep you updated about the same untill you ask yourself.

Campus Life

Classrooms are okay depending on the infrastructure of each department. Ours is not that good. Central library is there which is just great.you can issue books and there is hall for self study also with great and peaceful environment .Barkatullah university is Devided into various departments. Events such as unofficial freshers and farewell party are held on department level. Official events such as annual sports fest and cultural fest are organised by leading department of BU that is law department. Other department's students can participate.

Hostel Facilities

I live in indira Gandhi girls hostel for ug Hostel is veryyy affordable. You get meal 3 times a day breakfast, lunch and dinner. And tea 2 times a day morning and evening. Taste of Food depends on the mess committee( 3 or 4 girls selected from the hostel) but its still hostel food so ...seats are limited in this hostel so getting admission here is pretty difficult.

Admission

We were the batch of 2020. We Got admission on the merit bases. Student get admitted through three tier admission counciling process. From 2021 onwards students get admission on the basis of CUET . 12th pass students are eligible with more than 60%

Placement in my college is not very good for bcom. They provide decent placement to some brilliant students who are good in academics. The average placement for my course is nearly 3lpa. There are many companies who visits the campus and provides campus placement too. Sales is the widest scope for placement opportunities

LU : A good experience

Placement Experience:

The placements in undergraduate course is not much but yeah the college have placements that are good at their level for post graduates. Average package is 4.5LPA .From the 3rd year a person become eligible for placement. A undergraduate from bcom gets around2.5LPA - 3.5 lpa as a beginner.

So I applied for CUET and thought for the best colleges outside this city but unfortunately I didn't get any college via CUET so I had only a few options left to choose from in this city as other colleges were already closed for admission. So I had DVC in mind as my first priority but unfortunately it didn't have this course so dropped that and then ghanaram because my friend was there but It was really far away so eventually I came to this decision to apply in this college banshidhar Mahavidyalaya affiliated to BU Jhansi it was very close to my house and also pretty decent it seemed to me at first. As you know I didn't have many options so I won't say this was my dream college but yes this college is good too so I chose this. My score was pretty low for the course B.el.ed and the college options for this course are also very scarce so the merit went High and that's why I'm here now. There is no such great process or eligibility to apply in banshidhar you can simply apply just have decent marks in class 12th and there are no entrance exams for the same not cut off and all.
