Remarks

My sincere advice is that please do not take admission into that college if you are worried about your life and your future.

Entrance Preview

I got into the college through management quota i.e. i did not took any examination for this colIege.I opted this college because one of my relative was currently studying there and he told that it is a good college.Later i came to know that many students have taken admission there through CET score and they have gone through the counselling process. But one can also get direct admission there.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The course structure was very nice as it was framed by the famous university of the Karnataka i.e. visveswaraya technical university. The standard of the course can be compared to IITS and NITS.The only problem i can say to have with the course is that they did not use to offer us the elective subjects. They have choosen one easy subjects among 6 or 8 options from the electives and have made it compulsory

Internships Opportunities

No, there was not any trend of internship or anything like that.and the reason for that is faculties are not of that level so that they can think of such thing to conduct in the college.

Placement Experience

1.5

During my time the placement was very poor but i think it has improved nowadays. All my batch mates who are placed were in service based companies and most of them for the tech support position that too they got from off campus. Some of them them got in companies like hp,hcl, ibm etc. The package for them was ranging between 2.8 lacks to 3.2 lacks.

College Events

2

Officially there was only one chance to celebrate the cultural or technical fest and that was during the college day.apart from that you will not get any cultural or technical fest or anything like that. The college day was celebrated in may of year.Complete year you have to enjoy your boring college routine and the boring professors.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I can say that the course was not expensive if you are living in a town like Bangalore.During my time the fee was around 1,25,000 including both the mess and the college fee.So it was really the course in budget.it is very difficult to get other college in Bangalore and do engineering in computer science branch with such a low fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't got any type of scholarship there but the students who are from obc or SC/st category used to get scholarship from their state government. Once they have given 15000/- when i was in 7th semester for those who got above 60% marks in their last year and luckily i was one among that.

Campus Life

2

About campus life i can say that it is average. You will not get bored by the environment there. There is a large playground to play cricket as well as football. There are extra curricular activities for us once in year during the college day one after or before that. There are not any partiality with respect to gender, race or community.

Hostel Facilities

1

The hostel is good.Sweepers use to come everyday for cleaning.there are two hostel for boys. One which have attached bathroom facility and the other one have the general bathroom facility.the cost of attached bathroom hostel is 5000 more than the other one and the cost was 53000 for the attached bathroom.the rooms were on two sharing basis.and about the food i can say that if you are south indian then you will be able to survive there else it will be really difficult for you.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no such kind of thing like alumni network and please don't expect these types of things there. But i can say that senior you may get helpful senior there if you are lucky. One may also get help from the seniors if he/she has good social behaviour.

Exam Structure

I can say that exam structure was really very nice as it was conducted by the university. We use to have 3 internal exams out of which best of two was taken for the final evaluation and that is followed by the external exam. The external exam was conducted for three hours as well as the labs for three hours too.The exam was taken in the college only. So it was very comfortable to give out the exams.

Admission

I got admission into the college with the help of senior who was studying there and one year senior to me,Any one can get admission there with any type of marks and any type of background knowledge.Just don't contact broker to take admission there as the college claims itself as the no donation college but the broken will thug you almost 1 lakh - 1.5 lakh for the admission. You can directly go the office, complete the office work and get the admission.

Faculty

0.5

The faculty of the college is average.Only one or two faculties in the branch have the knowledge about the subject and rest used to follow the same procedure and the procedure the teaching with the PPT or carrying a sheet pf paper and copying everything from that sheet to the board. At the end of the unit they will give you the notes prepared by them only and don't worry you can pass the exams by mugging up the notes. That's the teaching goes on there.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
