Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course was for a period of 4 years with an intake of 60 seats. The course curriculum was really good and provided us with a lot of knowledge. Mechanical engineering have subjects like Strength of Materials, Machine Designs, Theory of Machines, Fluid Mechanic, Manufacturing Process etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college gave campus training and helped the students to face the interview rounds before they go into a big reputed company. They gave training to the interested students and taught them well to clear their interview rounds.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The grand total of my course fee was INR 2.8 LAKHS for all the four years including the tuition fees which was INR 70000 for each year. I found the course fee a bit costly but it was all worth to pay at a college where they provided us with many facilities.

Campus Life

3.5

The college celebrated sports day and national conferences. They organized fun activities for the students such as denim day, college day etc. The college also offered Technical seminars and workshops to make the students well educated in every field.

Admission

I got admission on the basis of Karnataka common entrance test. The applicant must have passed their (10+2) examination in Science stream from a recognized Board like CBSE and scoring at least 50% marks with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty if the college was very lovable and close to the students. They were well-determined and were very well disciplined and oriented towards their subject. They were highly educated and taught us with full dedication.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
