IITBHU - A college located on the banks of River Ganga

Most of the faculty is helpful in nature. They encourage students to ask doubts. The labs are pretty old. Although the faculty student ratio is about 3 : 180. Different teachers have different teaching methodology. Also exams are conducted timely. Some subjects are extremely difficult while some are easy to score. The grading is relative.

Companies such as google, zomato, oracle, amazon etc visit campus during internship season for pre final year students. About 300-400 students are selected every year and most of them receive ppo ( pre placement offer) during their internship.

The college provides decent placement opportunities. Companies like google, amazon, cisco, zomato etc visit our college. Students are eligible for placements in their final year. This year (2023) the highest package offered by a company was Rs 1.68 crore and that too was a domestic package. Almost all the students get placed after their course completion.

If someone is from general category then if their parents' income is more than 5 lac then they have to pay 106000. Those students whose family income is less than 5 lac and more than 1 lac, they have to pay about 40000 per semester. Those students whose family income is less than one lakh, they have to pay only the mess fees which is about 15000 per semester.(All the fees mentioned is in rupees).For reserved categories, there is further relaxation. There are also many scholarships available to provide financial aid to the students. The campus placements are also decent. The average package of the chemical engineering branch was about 20 LPA and it is higher for circuital branches.

We have three major fests namely Kashiyatra ( the cultural fest), Technex( the tech fest) and Spardha ( the sports fest) which are conducted annually. Besides these, there are many other fests organised by different clubs and branches also. Overall the campus life is chill, but becomes hectic during end semester examinations.

The first yearties have to live in Aryabhatta Hostel which is a 3 seater hostel. Basic facilities are provided in all hostels, such as fan, bed, almirah, wifi(most important), water cooler. The mess food is edible but there is a huge scope of improvement.

The seat allocation was done through JOSSA following the JEE Advanced examination. After freezing the seat a mail was sent from the college, regarding the application and fee structure. After online registration we were required to report to the college for offline registration which took about half an hour and then the admission process was completed.
