Course Curriculum Overview
I have a keen interest in journalism and camera handling.Therefore i chose this course.It is 3 year where various skills related to camera handling,video editing and journalism are taught.The faculty of the college is vert friendly and cooperative.The teachers are really fun and teach giving various on field experiences.Most of the teachers have done their Phd and have multiple years of experience .The management is however not very supportive. The exams are held monthly however the end sems are conducted in every 4 months.The exams are held by the University and the exams are not very difficult to pass if you have basic conceptual knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
If you are a journalism students you can get a lot of offers for workinh with a news agency or content writer or for camera handling. You can easily get 6-8k as a stipend id you work sincerly. I have done 4 internships till now and even went to thailand sponsored by my college in just 15k for 16 days
Placement Experience
From 5the semester students become eligible for campus placements. Not many placements are done by college but yes there are few. Recently mahindra visited our college. Highest package was of 8 lakhs for a bcom student. Around 20% of students get placed from college. I will be persuing my masters after this degree from makhanlal college bhopal
Fees and Financial Aid
Fess structure is 67060 per year for journalism course. Scholarship program is different for different years . For 1st yr it is on the basis of 12th result and for 2nd yr it is on the basis if first yr performance and for 3rd yr it is on the basis of overall performance. I got to work in a production house with 2000 rs as stipend
Campus Life
Talking about the life is campus it is really nice. Infrastructure is really good and has a huge ground in the campus. There is a annual fes name abhivyakti held every year but not happening from past 2 yrs library is a whole floor in the building and has a huge variety of books present there .there are sports equipments present in the reception and can be taken by students . It has a volleyball court basketball court. There is even a sports club of college
Admission
The admission was taken through an entrance exam of IP university,IPU CET score.We can apply for this exam on the official website.After the exam , we receive our rank list according to which we have to fill our preference list for the colleges of IP University.This college was 4 th preference on the preference list.My rank was 837.I was alloted this college in the first round itself
