Dislikes
- canteen food is very bad like you will not like the food of the canteen you will have to bring your food
- management of the college is very poor and student section staff will not give you correct reply , they will always reply inappropriately
- mid sem papers are not checked correctly teacher will give you less marks only even if you have written everything correctly and circular and important messages are always late.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for computer science and engineering course. i have opted for these because first keeping the fact in mind for the job opportunities giving better placements compared to other branches and other one is interest in computer.All the faculty members are well qualified and teaching method is also good if you regularly attend classes and pay attention in each and evry classes you will understand it fully.Exams are conducted twice in one sem first is mid sem and other is final sem or final term exam .exams are not that much hard one average student can easily scored 70 or 7 cgpa with little hardwork and smartwork.
Internships Opportunities
overall college is good.college also provides decent intership and placement .For the intership college will bring companies for the intership but if you want to do intership in other company than than college bring you can do it too.
Placement Experience
from the 7 sem the companies come for the placemets.If you have good scores and good personality and have good knowlege about the subject then companies will come and interviewd the students and will select student through college placement only.companies come for the college placements are TCS,wipro, mahindra, kotak.bajaj.gtpl.the highest placement received was 600000 and average is 300000.percentage of students get placed are 40-50, because many are going out of india foreign and other are going to purse higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for one semester is 30850 and for one year is 617000.excluding fees there are other expenses like books files that will cost around 5000 for one sem.college does not provide any financial assistance but you can apply for MYSY scholarshop if you are eligible.
Campus Life
Annual fest and tech fest are conducted in college with many other competitions and other fest. College has one very big libery all the reference books are availabe for the students you can also take them at your home. Classroom are also preety much comfortable with plety of space every classroom has A/C and, one big black board and one white board. many sports activities are carried out in college interested students can participate in different games. College alos has many clubs for the students lke art ,dance ,therature ,music. another is ISTE only cultural and techanical society of sal.
Admission
i have applied for computer science and engineering,the basic eligibility for the course is 10+2 in PCM.I have taken admission through the ACPC,but you can also take admission through management quota if your merit rank is low and you can not take admission through ACPC.Admission through ACPC is purely online but if you want to take admission through management quota you have to go to college and applied for it,basically it will be offline.Sal institute of technology and engneering research is affiliated to gujarat technological university (GTU).
