Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose the CS branch because it has a great opportunity in the future. Even after being a government college, we must say it has faculties beyond our expectations. In the first year, most of the faculties are Ph.D. holders and we must say they teach well more than average. From the second year senior professors teach the students and even after being senior they are regular in the class. Term exams are held regularly in the college as there are 3 mid-semester exams that occur before the final semester exam. The average of 2 mid-semester adds up on the final semester exams.

Placement Experience

4.5

From 6th semester a student is eligible for the placement but he would be placed after completing his degree. Before the 6th sem, one can avail of various internships by improving his/her skills. Several companies visited in the last 3, to 4 years like TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, etc. Most sales companies come in college. Last year approx. 350 students were placed from 700 students with a good percentage of 50 percent. The highest package grossed up to 45 lpa last year off campus. As mostly CS students I also want to grab a placement up to 15 lpa by improving my skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the college are very low as it is a government college. There are several scholarships a student can avail of in the first year, one can apply for an ONGC scholarship from which he/she can avail of a scholarship of 196000, and another scholarship by Reliance group named Reliance Foundation Scholarship from which he/she can avail a scholarship of 200000 rupees after coming in the merit of top 5000 students all over India.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual fest name is MAHASANGRAM in which several students take part from different clubs, It is held in the month of January.RGPV has its largest library in UIT from all over MP. As it has approx 3 to 4 lakhs of books. After being admitted to the college he/she has to apply for a library card then he/she can take advantage of the library. Other than the library there is a Knowledge Resource Center where he/she can use PCs of up to i9 processor for coding and other activities completely free of cost. Even after being a government college it has great classrooms and has a separate building for every department. If a student wants to make his career in sports he can make it by joining various sports clubs in college. He/she can also join clubs like GDSC to learn google cloud, blockchain, etc. And Phoenix club for learning 3d modeling and animation.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is very cheap as it has only fees of 400 rupees monthly with free electricity and even after being cheap college provides a bed, table, chair and almirah. For meals, he/she can avail of mess with a fee of 2500 monthly with food four times a day. After physical verification in college, one is provided a QR code for the registration of the college hostel. The one who comes on the merit list will be provided a hostel.

Admission

If a student wants to get admission to the college he or she has to the pass JEE examination with a rank below 90 thousand. Application form application fees and all other things are available on the official website of NTA. And it's a great advantage for a student who belongs to a middle-class family as he can complete his engineering in just approx 2 lakhs rupees as it is a government college.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards. Companies visiting campus are mostly mass recruiters along with a few product-based and mid-level companies. Most students receive an average package of approximately 5-6 LPA, while higher packages are offered to only a few top performers. Few seniors, whom I know got packages of 8.5 LPA, 12 LPA, and 19 LPA also, so basically higher packages are also offered but their competition is high and only some of them can make it up to that. A good percentage of eligible students receive the placement offers, mainlt in IT and service-based roles, but competition remains there, so one needs to have serious preparation on his or her own. Arond 60%+ students got placed every year from on-campuses placements. The placement cell provides training sessions and interview sessions from the third year onwards. Overall, placements can be considered decent compared to other private colleges in the region. Basically, after completing my graduation, I plan to pursue good placement otherwise prepare further for civil services after understanding career growth, however, this is not my final decision but could make a final one before the completion of course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The manit curriculum for mechanical is quite strong in basics and was a major reason i chose this course .It covers core maths ,mechanics ,physics ,electrical and wrskhopa ,which helps for higher studies and exams .Exams are frequent with midsems ,quizzes and endsems;sometimes the schedule feels packed, but it keeps us regular with the syllabus.Difficulty is moderate if you attend classes and practice .Still , some subjects feel outdated and there should be more software , projects and insustry oriented content.

Placement record is decent, campus drives happens regularly. If no campus placement is offered then it's obvious one has to struggle a bit more to get a decent job but I beleive the college makes the students capable enough to crack the campus placement if a person really is capable then their is no lack of resources from the college. Even if there is no in campus placement I think everyone has a plan B.
