My Life in Karunya

I am passionate about Biology. I tried for Medicine, which was not a very big success. I always had Biotech as my only option other than medicine. And I chose Karunya for its laboratory facilities and experienced faculties in the Department of Biotechnology. Most of the faculties here are all Doctorates with good years of experience and are very friendly. The classes are all in English as we have students from various states studying here.

Staff are always open to approach and to talk about the internships and projects. They analyze our field of interest and suggest companies to apply for internships and give full assistance and support along the way.

Placements in our college happen at their peak during the final year of your degree program. Final-year students are given Placement Training during the initial days of their final year odd semester. Experts are called placement trainers for Technical as well as non-technical skill training.

I joined Karunya in 2020. The tuition fee is around 89250. I was also provided with a scholarship for my grades in 12th grade. But the tuition fee has been increased a little as our laboratories are being upgraded with new and latest equipment.

Life in Karunya is very peaceful and is surely the best place for students who are fond of a good and pleasant climate. Mega Play is our annual fest which is usually conducted at the end of December before the Winter holidays. Students are always encouraged by the staff for their participation in extracurriculars. Students must enroll in one of the Seven Clubs in the University for their Non-academic credits.

Hostels are maintained neat and are cleaned every day. Food in the mess is quite good as there are five different messes on the hostel premises. The food quality is good as is always served fresh and hot. As this is a residential institute, students are enrolled as hostellers along with their college admission. Residents of Coimbatore are alone given exceptions for attending college as day scholars, provided required documents are submitted.

I was admitted to the college during the COVID-19 lockdown. I contacted the Management and Admin office for my admission through the University website. After certain procedures, I got an email stating that I had been selected for my applied course (i.e.) B. Tech in Biotechnology
