Likes

Campus life is very good. the students studying here are very cooperative and the seriors too are friendly. they helped us a lot in the starting.
The food provided in the Square one food court is quite affordable and taste is also very good. We can order the food from the Ucampus app designed by the university students itself.
We had very less classes in the 1st and 2nd semester due to which we had extra time for studies and self-studies.

Dislikes

i prefer the teachers and the faculty here should be more qualified and should have more patience level. They should listen to the problems faced by the students.
According to the hype to the university, the studies are not benificial to us.
The university food court is overcrowded most of the times and we have to wait for hours to get something to eat. Even most of the times , we do no even get a proper place to sit and have our lunch.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had an interest in coding since I was a child. I have also participated in many cyber olympiads. The faculty-student ratio is 20:250. The teachers here are sometimes very rude and mean. but some teachers are also very nice for eg. the H.O.D and support staff, the mentors and dean. we have our exams after every 2 weeks and lab practicals in a month. total 2 mid terms and 2 fa/lab practicals.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 104000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Very less opportunities are provided by the university for the BCA batch. The students have to go for off-campus placements or apply for internships online. The MCA batch is provided with some internships but for the BCA batch, it's even worse.

Placement Experience

The internship is provided to the students in the 5th semester. Infosys came to our university last year. 2 lakhs per annum was the average. package given to the students. The percentage of placements is very poor. out of 300 students only 3 were placed. I want to go abroad and pursue my further studies there only.

Fees and Financial Aid

The price we are paying for the fees is not worth and the knowledge we are getting is not what we expected. no scholarship was provided. I am currently in 3 semesters and we are not told about jobs yet that we will be provided with. also, the placements are very low in BCA.

Campus Life

At every festival, the university organizes events and fests. treasure hunt activity was organized by Ebuzz club and in that, we enjoyed it a lot. The library is well-maintained and fully air-conditioned. Classrooms are poorly maintained and the BCA building, de Morgan block is also very rusty and ill-maintained. I am a member of the Matrix club. I also participated in a basketball competition and we won 2nd prize.

Admission

NO entrance exam was taken. The application form is available on the Chitkara website and Rs.1100 was charged for the form No reservation Benefits were availed by me. General category the admission process was very easy and convenient.

Honest review

Placement Experience:

In our college we have the max amount of placement is 45 lakhs which is preety good for the student who got it. For placement they also train us for our communication skills , technical skills, general knowledge skills. They give chance to all the students to give the interview in which the company can interested in us. In the last semesters or last second semesters we can eligible for the placement. The companies visited in our college like MICROSOFT, TCS, AMAZON, GOOGLE, VIPRO, IBM. My plans after getting the degree is that to find the job for in-college placement. In BCA the companies can hier us in 5 lakhs to 10 lakhs package.

Best College in North India

Placement Experience:

I heard a lot about this college as this is the best college in north India for placement, which is true also, but not for mechanical. Only CS and ECE students get placed during campus placement, but wait, it's not that easy as the placement is done along with students of C.G.C Jhanjeri and Chandigarh University. So for every job, there are hundreds of students competing. Placement cells are very friendly and they help a lot during placement time and grooming sessions.

Placement Experience:

1) The students become eligible for placements in their last semester. 2)The companies visited are Microsoft, Tcs and lupin .there are no of offers made by the companies to various students. 3)The highest package is 30lpa and average package is 8lpa and profiles offered are of software engineer, software test engineer, etc. 4)Almost 80 percent of students got placed in every companies. 5)My plan is to do a master degree after my getting the degree.

A journey

Remarks:

Every thing have a good and a bad side in it. Let's take positive first. This university offers a great infrastructure and accommodation facilities. This university can be a heaven for sports lover. There are many clubs where you can show and enhanced your skills. Going through the negative prospective some times food of mess become a threat. And the faculty as I discussed earlier needs to be updated.
