Course Curriculum Overview
Economics is a very intriguing field and has a lot of scope. Symbiosis International University is one of those few universities in the country which provides a BSc degree in economics. the faculty at SSE is adequately qualified. Symbiosis School of Economics is also a host to visiting faculty members from various institutes of Symbiosis International University
Internships Opportunities
The placement cell at SSE is approachable if one is looking for internship opportunities. however, internship opportunities at Symbiosis School of Economics are not very frequent. I have never crossed any such opportunity as such.
Placement Experience
Various companies like Treas Vista and Deloitte ZS associates recruit from the Symbiosis School of Economics. the highest package goes up to 21 lakhs the lowest is around 6 lakhs and the median salary stands at 7 lakhs per annum. most of the students however do not sit for placements as they prefer to go for higher studies after doing the BSc degree
Fees and Financial Aid
At SSE fees are charged based on semesters and scholarships are available for students who come from family backgrounds having annual income less than 4 lakh rupees. there are no on-campus jobs.
Campus Life
The Institute of Symbiosis School of Economics does not have a huge campus. the department consists of a building with a canteen a library and a gym. fests are held from time to time. various clubs societies, and cells allow you to take part in a lot of events and build your network. One might not have access to sports amenities at Symbiosis School of Economics but the students of Sse may utilise the amenities of any institute under Symbiosis International University.
Admission
The admission process at Symbiosis International University is quite smooth. the admission procedure comprises of an initial application, aptitude test, written ability test and a personal interview. individual can only sit for the interview and written ability test if they have qualified in the aptitude test. the application form is available by December on the Symbiosis International University portal
Interview Experience
once shortlisted after the aptitude test, you have to sit for a written ability test and a personal interview. aptitude test consists of questions from numerical ability grammar and general awareness. the written ability test is the most easy to clear.in the personal interview questions are asked from your personal background and general economic questions for the BSc economic degree. while preparing for the return ability test and aptitude test is not difficult one should who through basic economic concepts for the personal interview.
