Entrance Preview

I got admitted on 2014 by TMC joint entrance. I scored pretty good. My rank was 83 in Tripura State Domicile and I opted for MBBS cause its my dream course. I always wanted to be a Dr.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is like every MBBS course , 4 and 1/2 years and 1 year of Internship. Scopes of research are also good under guidance of very nice faculties. Overall its pretty good. You can do all sorts of projects like ICMR or other screening studies whatever interests you.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. 1 year of rotatory internship is provided. Stipend as of now is Rs 12000/- p.m. Workload is heavy but of course you get to learn a lot. Stipend is okayish.

Placement Experience

4.5

In MBBS placement and packages are something that's unquestionable. Govt jobs as well as ptivate jobs are plenty. You will have your own choice to decide the best for you. On an average a minimum of Rs 40K p.m. package each student gets which may extend upto Rs 1 lakh monthly also.

College Events

3.5

Besides the Annual College Fest, there's a College foundation day and Freshers welcome ceremony are some of the events celebrated here. The students get a chance to exhibit their extracurricular talents in arts, sports, literature fields refreshing their body and soul amidst the hectic schedules.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As a private college, it's feasible. It's nearly Rs 5 lakh annually for 4 years and Rs 2 50000 for rest 6 months. However the latest fee structure you can get from college. Overall on an average around Rs, 25-30 lakhs of expenditure occurs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility is available from a SBI branch situated in college itself. I dont know about anyother scholarship facility.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is awesome. The gender ratio is more or less 50: 50. Maximum students are Bengali but there are also a good number of Manipuri students as well. Students are also from North India as well as other NE states. Most of them belong from the middle class to upper-class families.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are good. You get a single room for 2 students for boys as well as for girls in separate hostels. Mess food is good compared to other colleges. The fees for hostel and mess are included in the annual college fees. The overall college has got a very good neat and green campus.

Alumni/Alumna

TMC has got the best seniors actually. They are very helpful and at the end, you cant forget them. From exam time to internship period they help you like a shadow. They are just lovely.

Exam Structure

Exams are hectic. Besides the 9 semester exams and 4 university exams, you have to face a lot of Part completion tests as well as lots of vivas and practical exams for Internal assessments. It's not that you will not get a chance to chill but that will be of very short duration.

Admission

My father collected application form for the entrance exam from TMC office itself and I appeared the exam and got lucky. The notification is released both in college website www.tmc.nic.in as well as in newspapers. Now selection is through NEET only.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty of the college are very good. There are faculties from the state itself as well as from outside the state. Under the guidance of various specialists as well as superspecialist doctors you have a lot to learn in the entire course span. There are tutors also for every subject to clear doubts.

MBBS gives a hope of job security first, also the fee structure is bit less as compared to the other private medical colleges in India, there is a strong hospital setup along with our college gives us varied experiences in learning medicine, improvement should be made in the field of extracurricular activities which is bit less there , there are 3 exams in a year and along with a university exam afterall. Difficulty level is average

Placement Experience:

We are placed in the hospital during the internship on how good knowledge we have based on giving good treatment to the patients. The salary, in the beginning, is good and as the experience increases, we can even open our clinic or even hospital or work privately too. Placement in many renowned hospitals is quite so easy thought AGMC college and they give much money to work as a doctor. Like private Institute provide freshers 30-40k per month salary and govt are giving little bit low salary per month. But after 1year this salary increase.

As mentioned above, this is the kind of college you should choose with only with the thought of getting a MBBS degree. There's no provision any other way to entertain you. One can play sports in the field which is not at all maintained. Everything apart from Studies and clinics is below standards but that's what you're here for, right.
