Course Curriculum Overview

I choose English honors because I love the subject and I want to learn more about this and also want to learn the language. In our department, there are approximately 150 students. Our professors are so kind and so good they teach us all little things until we understand.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 1400 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For you have to pay 1400 for a semester as a 1st-year student I don't know about other years well. You have to pay some money to fill up the forms before your exams. and I don't know about scholarships of college be they informed us about it later.

Campus Life

On our campus, we sat and discussed our given notes for some time and had tiffin. In our college, there is a library room we used to go there and study books. We have our own college group and also have a WhatsApp group for discussing classes. There are extra curricular activities here in this college.

Admission

For this course you just have to pass the higher secondary exam I mean one student has passed out 12th class. Then on a fixed date, the application form will be realised. Then a link from the website, you have to fill up the form and submit it between three or a fixed time. Then after 1 week or some day, a list of names will be realized. If you are selected there also show your name. When I applied for the course I had to pay a total of 1400 as a fee. It's an easy process the only thing you have to do just find a good computer shop to fill up the form.

Likes

One of the things i liked the most was the quality of lecture given by the professors
The campus is very spacious the college has every facility
A fully equipted studio and lab for Journalism students

Dislikes

Things i disliked was the most has to be the locality the college is really nice but the locality is a bit shady

I always wanted to take up Journalism as a career and the thing which caught my attention in this college is that they have a fully equipted studio room and other colleges may have one but the students even publish there own news report here it prepars us very well for the real world

My Experience at Jaipuria to summed it up.

Likes

Quality education and an academically enriching environment. Most importantly, well- versed professors.
Extra- curriculum activities, along with an active sports cell and NCC, and usually various opportunities to participate in Inter-College Competitions.
Well maintained gym with separate timings for girls and boys. The canteen offers a wide variety of foods at an affordable price.

Dislikes

For my department, there was no educational excursion.
Negligence internship opportunities are available for my course.
Only some placement opportunities are available, and companies like TCS and Wipro came up for campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My passion and a bit of curiosity in International Relations led me to choose this course. The curriculum, in fact, prepared me well for further academic pursuits. For improvement, educational excursions and internship opportunities should be made available. The exam is held twice a year on semester basis, with papers set at a moderate to difficult level.

A balanced view of campus life and learning

Likes

The English department has experienced and supportive teachers. Most professors explain concepts clearly and encourage discussions, close reading and critical thinking.
The course is very affordable, especially compared to private colleges. With scholarships, it becomes accessible for students from middle and lower income backgrounds.
The college has a friendly and diverse student crowd. The girls to boys ratio is balanced with slightly more female students, which creates a comfortable learning atmosphere.

Dislikes

The infrastructure needs improvement. Classrooms and common areas could be better maintained and modern facilities are limited.
There are very few placement opportunities for arts students.
Although some academic events take place, extracurricular activities and active student societies could be improved for better campus life.

Placement Experience:

There are limited on campus placement opportunities here, especially for Arts and Eng Hons students. Most students focus on higher studies, competitive exams or off campus opportunities after graduation. The college provides basic guidance through teachers but formal placement drives are rare.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira: A Life Changing Experience

Likes

The college has an ideal atmosphere for studying and the hostel accommodation allowed for close bonding with seniors who helped us out in studies as well as personal matters. The teachers are extremely talented and treated us with care and respect.
It is an all boys college and it is without any doubt a ragging-free campus. There is anti-ragging cell as well as student councelling cell available on the campus to help out with these issues.
The experience of hostel life and the close sense of community that is formed during my stay has been instrumental in my growth and the strict implementation of discipline in our daily lives enriched me and changed my life for the better.

Dislikes

The administration is not always the best. Applications, forms, seminars and event permits all required a long time to get approved by the authorities as most of the time it meant compromising our strict schedule as it is a residential college.
The average food quality in the mess could be better. Again it is not always the best but for the most part it is decent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum provides a comprehensive retrospective of literature from the Old English period to Modern period, while also including English works by Indian authors to demonstrate the diversity and evolution of English literature over the years. The current curriculum I believe requires more seminars and lectures from guest faculties on contemporary research and topics.

Likes

I really like the environment of our college .
And the brilliant and talented professors with phed
And the friendly nature of the people in the college

Dislikes

The unavailability of the boys hostel in our college .
No bigger playground to play ...as there is only volleyball court to play .
The toilet facilities are not poorly managed .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really liked geography as a subject for learning and exploring as it includes fieldwork , surveys and excursion which enhances our mind and experience in our life and this way we have many opportunities to learn new things in our life which is helpful for our future purposes. The only improvements I would like to note that to improve the toilet facilities and placement opportunities.

My Eyes On TAKI GOVERNMENT COLLEGE

I applied at Basirhat College, Barasat Evening College also. Even they confirmed my admission. But I Choose Taki Government College. Because First of all this is a government college. I got sone extra opportunity like low fees and more more extra things like free access of library, laboratory. I didn't get rejection from others college. Because I'm sure I was not that bad, that they could reject me. For getting admission your results must be good in class 12th. And there is a big competition, that's why if you had more marks in previous course you will get chance fast. And sometimes cast certificate mattar. I applied first. Then when I was selected, I filled up admission form and admission fees. Then a certain days, I submit my alla documents in department. That's the process. Exam system are good....Read More

Giving a brief description about my college

I am a student of Taki Govt College. After my high schooling, I passed h.s exam. I had 80 in mathematics in the h.s exam. You have to score good marks more than 75 or 80 to get a chance for admission to that subject . And you must have to upload your best 4 subjects in h.s exam. Merit list calculation is very easy.For mathematics admission fees are 1692 and registration fees are 350 , so it's around 2000.;Therebis a facility of reservation seats on quota... SC/ST/OBC/UR. My proudest Taki government college

I applied in Taki government college in 2019.It is a beautiful college with many buildings. The admission process is little easy for the students because it's maximum happened through online mood. Then the students have to submit their online form in college. The teaching process is easy to understand. This college is also provide hostel facilities. I applied for English honours. And the teachers in this department is very understandable and friendly. The marks should be 50% if you applied for any honours subject. I got the chance to apply and it's my very good luck to take admission in this college. Also it's a government college where everyone will get many facilities and scholarships from government.
