Remarks

Our secretary Rajshekar is student friendly, he is young and dynamic. He always have time for students, knowing issues and bringing in solutions. Allows students to bring in new ideas, entertains to bring in any new event like DJ Night etc.

Entrance Preview

I took local EAMCET exam in the year 2013 scoring 57. I randomly chose this college while online counseling. Meanwhile, I got to know that I have a known senior studying in the college through my father, who gave a good feedback about the management. The College was developing every year, setting up of an incubation center, EDC cell, encouraging the students to think out of the box and try to bring out new ideas. I was also a part of 96 students who were selected for 2 years Technology Entrepreneurship Programme under ISB - Gachibowli. The College has outlasted other local college in all the categories like building up of global level infrastructure. The college now stands 7th overall in the Telangana state. It was also given Autonomous status in 2015. It is accredited to NAAC - A. After we passed out the college has also set up indoor badminton stadium, games of snooker, gym with respective coach heads.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

We had all key subjects in the electives. Robotics, Renewable energy, Product plant layout, etc. Students interested in Robotics were given time in Robotics lab. They designed one line robot which is in the lab. We had PhD professors who helped in our research papers, journals, in our 3rd year and where always in touch with us in our final year Project works.

Internships Opportunities

No college internships. The internships were held by private tie-ups. The CSE and IT department had the summer internship in our college with Oracle group. They were given away with Oracle certification. Mechanical and Aeronautical students had 2 months internship with Tata Technologies in the final year. Later they underwent placement test to get placed in Tata Technologies.

Placement Experience

4

The placement record is superb. In our batch around 200 students got placed. Capgemini shortlisted 144 students from CSE, IT, ECE department and these students are now working in Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad offices. TechMahindra shortlisted 36 students and the students are now working in Hyderabad offices. UX Reactors shortlisted 1 student of mechanical department. RANE group shortlisted 3 students of the mechanical department. GreyCampus INC shortlisted 6 students. Byjus shortlisted 9 students with package of 6L p.a. Tata technologies shortlisted 2 students. Tata consultancy services shortlisted 2 students. Infotech shortlisted 5 students. TEK systems shortlisted 1 student. In Many more off-campus drives, other students got placed. GreyCampus INC and Byjus were the first companies to invite students in the final semester by providing internship stipend of 15k p.a.

College Events

4.5

College Fest - ZAVTRA for 2 days which consists of both technical event as well as cultural event, where students from other colleges come to compete in paper presentation, technical seminars, quiz, etc also participate in other cultural events. Annual Day is celebrated every year. DJ- night called ECSTASY is also celebrated every year. LOUD-WIRE DJ band event, where people are allowed to showcase their band talents and are later adjourned with winning the title.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible, compared to other local colleges in Hyderabad zone. Before Autonomous status fee structure was Rs.54,700 per year. After Autonomous status, Rs.75,000 per year. Bus fees were separate, it used to vary every year. It was Rs.18,100 per year in my time.

Fees and Financial Aid

Nothing as such, as it is a private institution there were no scholarships. Only the students having income certificate below 1 L were given reimbursement from the Telangana state.

Campus Life

5

There was much of a unity in diversity. Everyone had an equal opportunity. No one was discouraged, rather was supported by everyone also the management too. Our college had a big cricket ground, so every inter-college competitions used to be held in our college. Football, basketball, cricket, kabaddi, badminton, track events, indoor games, etc where the engaging game events every year. We had a sports committee with student president, secretary for coordinating the events with all the departments. Students used to stay for practice in the evening after class time.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel and mess food are the best. I was not the part of college hostel but we had opportunities during few events were college food was served to the whole college students on occasion like Annual Day, MUN, TEDX. The mess was well maintained with coolers and drinking water.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, Seniors are always in touch over the social media- Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn. They share new opportunities with us. We had cultural club - CAME club, where many students interested in dance, music, anchoring etc used to come forward and students of all years and branches used to get together and know each other, make friends, have fun, chill out.

Exam Structure

The exam was semester wise. We had 2 internal exams for 25 marks and one final semester exam at the end of one semester for 75 marks. We had external semester exams in other colleges so it used to depend on invigilators. Lab internals was chill as it was within our college with the known professor around us.

Admission

The admission was through EAMCET councelling, notification was released in September 2013. After the EAMCET results, According to the ranks we had to go for first phase of councelling for certificate verification, then they give a login ID - password for online selection of colleges based on my rank. The result in this online councelling fetched me an admission in MLR Institute of Technology.

Faculty

4.5

Our professor was mostly Ph.D. holders, Associate professors were M.Tech graduated. They were student friendly, sharing knowledge. Each professor were mentors for final year students to help them with their Major projects. Robotics, 3D printer machine, Production technology lab, CAD/CAM lab were the main workspace for mechanical engineering students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
