Likes

I really liked that the campus is green and this makes it refreshing. There is a garden area too.
The college timings are also flexible as all lectures start from 10:30 am and end at 5:30 pm which makes it comfortable for both night owls and early birds.
I really like the faculty and think that if a student attends majority of the lectures, they can easily score good in the exams.

Dislikes

I do not like that the infrastructure has become very old and it neds to be updated
I do not like that the laboratories are not that good as they use old technologies like in programming, they use Turbo C for coding in C language which is very old software.
I do not like that the college does not provide transportation facility as many students come from very far away and they need to travel in government buses and sometimes they even have to change multiple buses to reach college which becomes tiring

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is based on the curriculum set by the Gujarat Techonogical University. Overall, the curriculum is very flexible for the students and various co-curricular activites also take place in the college. The faculy members are very helpful too. I chose the Information Technology branch because of its expected growth in the future and my interest in coding. There are 2 major exams in each semester: Mid-terms and Final University Exam. The mid terms are of 30 marks whereas the final exams are of 70 marks each.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 1500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for each year is 1500 rupees. There are various scholarships allowed for students to apply. There is a very famous scholorship called MYSY which is provided to all the students having more than 80 percentile in their 12th boards as science percentile.

Campus Life

The life at Campus of VGEC is very refreshing after tiring lectures. There is a huge library near the M block on the campus. There is also a student section where students from all the branches meet up to spend some time during their free time and proxy lectures playing indoor games. There is also a volleyball court and basketball court which can be accessed using the student id. The classrooms have a blackboard and a whiteboard. There are plenty of windows which allow sufficient sunlight and fresh air to enter the class and there are multiple fans present. There are various technical and non-technical clubs present for students to explore and build their personalities.

Admission

The admission process in Vishwakarma Government Engineering College , Ahmedabad is mainly conducted on the basis of 2 exams i.e. 12th Board exams and GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Exam). The admission is considered on the basis of marks scored at a ratio of 50% each of these exams. Then, the applicant needs to apply in ACPC (Admission Committee for Professional Courses) and after some time a all state merit rank is generated of the student. The student needs to fill in his/her choice of college / university in the ACPC website. On the basis of this merit rank, a cutoff list is generated for each college. If a student falls under the cutoff of any college (which was filled by the student in choice filling), the student needs to pay a token fee (20,000 rupees for self financed colleges and 1500 rupees for government colleges) to guareentee their admission.

Placement Experience:

for placements the students need skills if a student have best skill so that they may get in 3 rd year based on their skills and normal we can get placements in the year of 3 rd in last yaer we get more oppertunity so that we can apply for placements . we get many companies to college they have made so many offers for students and students needs skills to get job or placement in college so that student do hard work in college days it is most precisious for us so thatstudy in btech life get more oppertunity and get one offer letter for us nad get proud from the college and parents we have average package in parul university which we got companies like is 3,00,000 is averae and highest package is 43,00,000 is most highest in this college percentage of students needs to get for job eligibile for student is minimum 70% should be so they get for oppertunity than below 60% peoples so get hard in btech % after getting a degree i have to do job or else to do master in aboard if i placed in placements i wil do jo itself only so that i dwant to do hard work my self in my life to get job in college placement.

Most of the students who have completed B tech Engineering in this college choose for further studies in other countries or some of them choose higher studies in our college and they can do interships in our college like coordinator, invigilator and teaching

Placement Experience:

Placement of this college iss too good. When you come in 3rd you will be eligible for the placement drive. Companies like tcs, mnc, infoysis these are the come come in placement. Highest package of the university is 40 lpa and average placement is 8 lpa. 75% students got their dream job.

A real insight

Placement Experience:

The placements are really good, after the 6th sem students can opt-in for placements. tcs, motorola and other major local companies visited the campus. highest package was around 9 10 lpa and avg was around 3.1 lpa. almost all students got placed till the end of season and faculties personally help the students to get placed.

Life at KU

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements after the completion of 8th semester only. No such good companies are visiting for hireing the students. Students have to find by their own. The highest package is around 3-4 lakh and average is around 2 lakh per anum. The students aren't placed well. Most students are enrollimg by their own (off campus). I want to go for a master degree after completion of current bachelor degree.

PDEU - a balence of academic life and vibrant extracurricular opportunities

Placement Experience:

The placements of pdeu are good , but not as good as compared to Nirma University and daiict . The average package of computer science is around 15 lpa and highest is 38 lpa. I think if you have a cgpa over 8.5 and have the skill that is required by the recruiter Company, there is a better chance of you getting a placement. This year , around 40 students out of 120 got placed in good companies.

Good college to complete engineering

Remarks:

College is good for engineering But, it is away from city so students have to face some difficulties due lack of transportation and food, however canteen is available inside campus but the flexibility is not available in food

The college is making fits in my requirements so i choose it over other colleges. the first Parmenter is affordability of the cousre so this course is really affordable compare to others colleges. This college was very nice them my expectations because of some reason

First this collage was not my first choice. My father have said me about these college. At that time I only know two college which was MS university and LD engineering college but when I've seen in Google VGEC was tol 3rd government college of Gujarat. At time of online application I've tried to get in LD engineering college but when I've got admission in VGEC and not in LD because of my merit rank And started my studies I've seen that in LD faculty teaches only in English and LD have not full faculty and some students come LD to VGEC because they think VGEC was nice than LD.
