- there are many clubs and societies which you can join as per your interest

Dislikes
- lecture halls aren't air conditioned here
- the campus is open which means normal people enter the college however strict I'd checking is done during fests and events
- the Hostel condition for 1st yearites isn't that great but ig this is a common problem for all old IITs
Course Curriculum Overview
The academics in IIT BHU is pretty chill, professors are liberal in terms of attendance right from the first year itself, the liberty that you get here allows you to explore what you like and your field of interests, it allows you to get ample of time for coding which was one of the important reasons why I chose IIT BHU. The faculty members are extremely qualified and most of them are very humble and ready to help you anytime.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies offer internships here, most of them being in the tech sector, for this year the average internship offered was 1.2 lakh per month, highest was 4.8 lakh per month and lowest was 80k per month.
Placement Experience
Being an IIT, the placements here are amazing. The average package of my branch is around 22 lpa whereas the median is 20 lpa, the highest package was 91lpa. The internship opportunities here are also great, a lot of companies come here for recruitment and one thing is for sure, if you work hard, you will get a marvellous package.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees varies according to your family income, in general the fees is 1,25,000 for each semester and an additional 15,000 mess fees. the academic fees consists of your hostel fees as well which is as low as 50 rupees per month. Apart form this you will get waiver on fees as per your family income, if it is less than 5 lakh per annum, you get 2/3rd fee waiver and if it is less than 1lakh you will get complete scholarship.
Campus Life
Campus life is amazing! you name any club and we have it! astronomy, coding,dance, cycling, singing,fine arts, and what not! We have many events and fests throughout the year. Our college is known for our biggest cultural fest, Kashiyatra! Our annual sports fest sardha is among the largest in India. Apart form this the vibrant culture of Varanasi make the life outside the campus amazing as well!
Hostel Facilities
Hostel for first year is so and so average, the rooms aren't large but 3 people are accomodated in each room, the bathrooms are pretty much clean and the mess sevres good food. However, things get much better from 2nd year onwards as the students are accomodated in the newly made DG-2 hostel it has large rooms, modern furniture and very clean washrooms.No matter what the condition is, one thing is for sure, you will create endless memories here!
Admission
The admission in IIT BHU is strictly thorugh JEE ADVANCED, I cleared JEE advanced 2023 to secure my admission in this college. The cut off for general category in Mechanical engineering is around 6600 this year. Seats are reserved for OBC,SC,ST as in other government institutions. Securing admission is very difficult here as you will have to clear one of the toughest exams
