College days

College management was much more dependent upon the faculty members which is not good.

The course is quite good. It has been taken from IIT Kharagpur. The course is available on the university site. It includes theory and practical both. The course is now bit changed from what we studied in past. It is one of the best course structure offered in India

College does not provide internship. While it encourages students to manage it by themselves. College only provide leave for that.

Placement is not very well here. Most of the students get placed in software companies. Jobs in core department is very few. Some of the companies are Hexaware, Cavisson, Tech Mahindra, Globbus Soft, Royal Infra etc. The average package is around 2.8 lacs

Each year a cultural fest is organised by the college, volunteered by the students for 2-3 days. Also Saraswati puja and Ganesh puja is celebrated in the college campus. Annual Sports is also made to make the students fit, both physically and mentally.

From my point of view, the college fee is little more. Private colleges in other parts of the country do not charge this much. College fee now is approximately one lakh per annum excluding the hostel fee. Hostel fee is around 70000 per annum including food.

No such kind of loan facility is provided by the college. But it can take the fee on installments with some extra charge.

The gender ratio was dependent on the stream of course. On an average it was 60:40. Most of the students are from 3 states, Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand. Extra co-curricular activities like robotics, gaming, painting, sports etc are encouraged by the college.

Hostels are average in terms of quality and cleanliness. Food provided is neither too good nor too bad. But the hostel fee was a bit expensive. Hostel room are of two types, double sharing and triple sharing according to the willingness of the student.

Alumni network is not that strong. Students themselves stay in touch with their batch mates, seniors and juniors.

The exam structure was different during our time. Now it has been changed and made easier for the students. Now more emphasis is given on objective type questions and on lab marks rather than the conventional paper. And also the difficulty level is reduced.

Through counselling I got this college. I came to the college and the staff members welcomed me well. They enquired me about the stream I want to take and also made me a visit to the college. Also I visited the hostel and the labs of the college. Then they told me the qualities and excellence of the students studying over there

The faculty members are qualified enough to make us understand the syllabus. Some faculty members are even much qualified than our standards. On an average, the experience of all the facilities is approximately 10 years with enough in numbers in each department.
