Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this college as it is the top and reputed college in our district also the department I chose was one of the oldest and finest departments. In our department, there are 6 facilities and the capacity of the department is 62. Though the student-teacher ratio is poor they guides us in various ways

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 910 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a government-sponsored degree college its fees are very low 910 per year and the hostel 644 per year. various types of scholarships are provided. There is no chance of campus jobs but students for further study

Campus Life

Every year an annual fest is hosted by the students' union and a departmental fest by the particular department at the start of the new session. There is a central library open for all students but the departmental library is also available Every department publishes their magazine at the time of the fest. An annual sports day hosted in the month of February

Admission

At first notification of admission is published on the College website. Eager students are asked to fill up the application form. Then the students are shortlisted by the mark they get in the 12th examination. As it is the top college of the district or university the cut-off is very high

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.

A college definitely to get into

The college was established in the year 1846, the second oldest college of our state. Also, it's a govt college so fees as least as possible. The faculty is best and the campus is also very good.
