Course Curriculum Overview
Department of Zoology still continues to be the primary choice for the students of Biological Sciences. The department started its journey in the year 2006 with only a few B.Sc. General students and with the least infrastructure. It has now flourished with more than sixty B.Sc. (Hons), more than a hundred B.Sc. (General) students and six faculties. The Department of Zoology has recently been shifted to a newly constructed Academic Block and is provided with well-furnished classrooms and laboratories.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The college fee structure is approx 5,000/- per year. There are many scholarships like SVMCM Merit Cum Scholarship, Minority Scholarship, OBC scholarship etc. SVMCM scholarship B.Sc students get 18,000/- and B.A student gets 12,000/-.
Campus Life
The college campus is normal. Annually fest in this college and also celebrated all programs like Independence Day, Republic Day, Saraswati Pujo, Netaji Jayanti etc. There are college library facilities. There available a brief of sports & extracurricular activities on campus.
Admission
GM or Gour Mahavidyalaya was established in 1985. It offers both general and honours undergraduate courses in science and arts streams like BA and B.Sc. It also offered self-financed courses and PG courses in distance mode. The admission is done based on merit as per Choice based credit system. The application mode is online.
