Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the Information Technology course at SAL College of Engineering for several reasons. Firstly, I have always been passionate about technology and its impact on society, and this course offers the perfect opportunity to delve deeper into the field. Secondly, this college has an excellent reputation for its IT program, and believe it will provide me with a high-quality education for personal and professional growth.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placement if they had cleared all the semester final examinations without any backlogs(total 8 semesters). Various companies visit the college to check the student's skills and knowledge and based on that selection is done. Taking about the percentage of placement it's like 2or3/10. The reason is students find a secure job or internship by their own efforts and knowledge before the completion of the course. After obtaining my degree, I am contemplating two potential paths: pursuing higher studies to further enhance my knowledge or else engaging in an internship to refine my skill set.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of Study for one year is Rs 74000 for the course excluding stationary fees and others. Regarding the fee hike policy, colleges inform the students well in advance about the fees. Talking about scholarships, I have only basic knowledge. There are some scholarship programs such as Digital Gujarat and mysy. Students can apply for these opportunities based on their academic achievements and financial situations.
Campus Life
The Campus hosts the Cultural Fest in March and the Tech Fest in September, providing platforms for showcasing artistic and technological talents. Also, it offers facilities for cricket, badminton, volleyball and more, encouraging physical activity. Diverse clubs dedicated to coding, drama, and photography cater to varied interests. The Library houses an extensive collection of books and journals supporting research and learning.
