- I liked campus of BIT Mesra very much as it has quiet lush greenary and fresh air.
- Hostels are very decent and have quite fast internet connection in each room.
- Teachers are very punctual and try to maintain class schedule.
Dislikes
- There is no night canteen available in campus.
- Administration is very strict so you should be cautious, not to do any indecipline.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because it's a course which provides us with an opportunity in both technical jobs as well as core companies jobs. Faculty to student ratio is about 1:50 and almost all the faculties are PHD in their fields and have done PHDs.
Internships Opportunities
internships start to come in 5th semester(2 months + training) and for fourth-year students, there are also some opportunities (6-month internship), some of the companies that visited campus in 2023 are - Microsoft, sprinklr, cisco, salesforce etc
Placement Experience
Placements at bit mesra are quite decent, in 2022 placement 235 recruiters participated and 1257 placement offers were received. In 2021, 746 offers and in 2020, 831 offers were placed. Internships start in the 5th semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees start at about 1.25 lacs per semester and it increases by 10% per year. there is a scholarship program called the Gk Birla Scholarship in which students are given scholarships on the basis of their SGPA and on some other basis also.
Campus Life
Life at bit mesra is awesome, as the campus is filled with fresh air and lush greenery. every year we have our annual fest called Bitotsav and also a tech fest called Pantheon on a massive scale. classes are well-furnished and fully air-conditioned. There is a huge sports complex for games etc. so you can enjoy your college life here. There are many clubs including SAC, PSOC, LEO ACM etc. The infrastructure is also quite good.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels mostly consists of single rooms with some doubles and some triples , but in most of the cases you will get single room. All of the rooms consists LAN connection whose connection speed is decent .
Admission
The admission process was quite smooth, it was done through jossa and csab counselling. Anyone can take admission if there jee rank comes in the cutoff for eg. for admission to the ECE branch, you should have a rank between 20000 to 25000.
