Course Curriculum Overview

2

I chose this course because I wanted a BTech Degree. The faculty: student ratio is 1:60. The teachers are quite new and have very less experience when it comes to core subjects. But they are very much supportive when it comes to projects and learning. The lab facilities, even though they are poor, are quite accessible to everyone.

Placement Experience

2

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college doesn't provide internships, you are all on your own. They provide you with on-campus mass recruitment placements, but that's that. The pay is very low. But it is also the case because there is very less competition among the students.

Campus Life

2

The college life here has personally impacted me a lot during the course of my study. I have attended 2 annual tech fests and symposiums, and it livens up the college. The clubs and activities such as NSS, NCC and Rotaract are very active. I overcame my social anxiety because of clubs here. But also, there are a lot of weird politics among students sometimes, but it is easily taken care of most of the time. There are a lot of sports activities conducted here

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel provided by the college is quite free and calm. The air circulation is good and the warden is also a very sweet person. There is a canteen inside the hostel. The students are also quite calm in the hostel and there is no ragging practised here. The food quality is average.

Admission

The course eligibility was to score 80 in mathematics in class 12 board examinations. After that, we filled out the application form that was provided to us by a contact of ours from the college. After a few days, we received a call from the college, they took an interview via call, asked me the details of my education, and asked me a few easy core-related questions and the admission was done. No donation fee was taken.

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

ECE is a core subject in the upcoming technologies like the semiconductor field etc. which is why I chose this branch. VIT has a lot of labs and equipment that enables a person to learn and grasp practical knowledge faster. The teaching methods include using a PPT and using a white board . Sometimes flip classes are done when students explain topics. The 2nd open book test is the toughest in difficulty level when compared to exam 1 and the final test.
