Remarks

Has been a good experience. It could have been better no doubt about it. The experience can be accentuated had proper exposure was provided.sometimes the life can be pretty monotonous over here.

Entrance Preview

My crippling anxiety made me choose this college. I just had to go for something after my high school so this was it. And it took me no special enterance test to get in here. My IPU worksheet was just fine.

Course Curriculum Overview

Well they did mess with our course curriculum. Put subjects that were not correlated with our course or had nothing to do with whatsoever we were studying but still yeah. Great job guys!

Internships Opportunities

Nope. No internship was provided by our college. No stipend. You can get internships from external sources but college ain't gling to help you regarding this.

Placement Experience

Placement engagement is pretty good over here. That one has to admit. Almost everybody gets placed even though some people dont desire for jobs but still they manage to get everybody place in one thing or the other.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very. It was okayish regarding the fee structure. Cheaper than most of the places. This made education affordable for many people who had only dreamed of auality education.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.
