Remarks
The admission process was smooth and different from most B-schools in the sense that here, there were separate interviews for all the programs that one applies for and not just one interview for all the cohorts. In a single meeting, there are multiple panellists each for each of the programmes offered by the college. They started with a general HR round and then passed the stage to each of the special teachers who asked questions about their specialisation. The interview process was over once all the individual interviews were over, and then they judged the student based on all the factors. I applied through CAT and NMAT and XAT since I had given all the exams, and they accepted all the entrance marks. The application form is found on their website which can be easily found. The interview seemed a bit much when I was first made aware of the separate interview process, but now I think it is a good step. Overall I had a smooth experience, and do not have anything to change to process
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the CORE MBA program because I was not clear which specialization to choose. The student-teacher ratio is very good there are multiple teachers for the program and there are no teaching or scheduling conflicts. All the teachers are highly qualified. The teaching staff have all done their PHD from top IIMs, XLRI, and other such top institutes. The assistant teachers are all currently undergoing their PHDs. Their teaching style is Learning by Doing instead of the normal classroom teaching style used generally. The exams are easy to pass if you are attentive and seriously study for them.
Internships Opportunities
I am in my first year, so. I have no experience in the intership. This process should start soon in the college and the past record has been good, and thus hoping the same. To get a good opportunity to learn and grow.
Placement Experience
Still in the first year of college so no placements yet. But the past record has been quite good with the median packages increasing every year. I am hoping for a good placement offer with a good package.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Not aware of any fee hike policy. The cost to study for the 2 years should come out to about 22L for education and Hostel. But, if you want to add other expenses, I would take it to cost around 25L for the time.
Campus Life
There is no annual fest of Tapmi. There are books available to study which are issued to each student. Other than that the library has a good collection of other reference books and journals. Amenities in classrooms are adequate. There is a projector and monitor for class PPTs and presentations and ample space for comfortable sitting. The classes are in the typical format of an MBA college in an elevated fashion and a U shape. All the major sports can be played and there are courts for one to play them. There are more then 20 clubs and committees which are all run by students with minimal teacher involvement.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel room has all facilities like a table, chair, bed and almirah. It's a two-sharing room, which each room has its own bathroom. A meal in the mess is good. If you are from the North, it may take some time to get used to the menu and taste. The registration process is straightforward and affordable. 1.8L for the hostel which does not include Laundry, Mess, and Gym.
Interview Experience
Do not remember the GD topic, however, it was based on the current market and not too abstract. The interview process like mentioned was different wherein there were different interviewers for all the programs that one applied for. The process was Online entirely and was smooth on Zoom. Instructions were clear and given on time. I prepared by practising for it with my parents and friends and self-observation. Did not join any coaching or anything for this.
Other Applied Colleges
Shiv Nadar University - [SNU] | Master of Business Administration [MBA]
Tapmi is better than Shiv Nadar. Also I have been in NCR my whole life, and wanted a college far off to explore living independently and not having the option to go back home so frequently like I used to do during my BBA.
