Course Curriculum Overview
Basically, First year of engineering is same for all branches. In Mumbai University, In first sem there is math-1, phy-1, chem-1, mechanics, Basic Electrical engineering. Total 5 subjects In second sem there is math-2, phy-2, chem-2, Engineering Graphics, Professional communication ethics, C programming. Total 6 subjects. I had chosen " Computer Engineering " branch which is in demand and have lots of opportunities to pursue carrier. Our College faculty are average, but there is big scope of improvement. You have to study through out the semester to pass the exams easily. There is also Internal Assessment Exam when your 40% syllabus is covered
Placement Experience
I think after 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. There are no campus placements, you have to look on your own behalf, knowledge and skills. Companies did not visit the campus. Percentage of students getting placements is also low and they get on their own behalf. My plans are also to improve my competative coding skills, problem solving skills, communication skill and learning new technologies within the course.
Fees and Financial Aid
In our College first whole year fee is 96800. If you fulfill in reservation criteria you will get good benefits in fees For OBC one year fee is 53300 Plus you have to pay 2000 rupees exam fee There are different scholarships for different categories You can go with education loan , I think it's a good option. There are very low chances of on campus job and internships You have to look on your own knowledge and skills.
Campus Life
Unfortunately we have not a big campus. There is a club in our College of computer engineering students named "cesa". which arranges some sports events . There is library with much books related to syllabus only. There is huge scope in infrastructure improvement . Need to increase the number of extracurricular activities.
Admission
Yes, I gave MHT-CET entrance exam and I had 61 percentile in it . In Maharashtra Engineering college cap rounds , I get this college in third round. When I allotted this college in third round I had to come and fix my seat in college within three days. Also you need to pay some fee I had paid 20000 at that time. I had availed reservation benefit and my first year fee is 53300 plus 2000 exam fee Because of the online cap rounds admission process is now very simple.
