Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is about electronics and electrical engineering, instrumental engineering and a paper about data structures. Faculties are available for all subjects and they are well-known for their subjects. We have 4 internals and a Semester exam.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 13500 per year

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements are excellent. The maximum package is 13 LPA and the minimum is around 3 LPA. Almost 98 per cent of students get their placement before the end semester. Bulk recruiting companies like TCS and Robert bosch Aspire systems Will do on-campus interviews.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost is very low compared to other colleges and the food is also good. Scholarships are available for BC, MBC, SC, and St students. All of us in our batch got placement before the end semester. I applied for an educational loan from the bank. The total amount I needed for 4 years is just 65000 in 2007-2011

Campus Life

The infrastructure is good. GCT has a very big campus. Most of us have cycles inside the campus to go from the hostel to college. We have a library card to access the book in the library. The classrooms were good. The students can join any club.

Hostel Facilities

There are 2 hostels available for girls and 7 for boys. Meals are good and we have the option for vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Average mess fees will come to around 1000 rupees. Our hostel room rent is 300 per year

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

Admission

The course offers a wide variety of placement opportunities. You can get into this college purely on a merit basis and through counselling conducted by Anna University. Seats are available community-wise. The fees to complete the course are very low compared to other colleges. Addon benefit is this college has a nice ambience as it is in Coimbatore. The climate is super cool.

Placement Experience:

Rmk collegeof engineering and technology has strong placement with excellent percentage. They will train you from 1st year for the placement. The average package is 5-6Lakhs per annum.and the highest pacakge is 66 lakhs.

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year,they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course.The placement is around 95 percent.My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus.There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

A review about KARE

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.

A detailed review on GCT Coimbatore - Most affordable college of Asia.

In the admission process i applied only for government colleges like anna university chennai, gct coimbatore, gce salem, thiagaraja college madurai like that. Because i cant afford private college, among these government colleges gct coimbatore remains my first choice and got the admission in there. The main reason of choosing this college is affordable fee structure and good placement statistics. The admission process for government colleges are purely through Counselling process, there is no management quota. Based on our 12 th mark, a cutoff for 200 marks will be calculated. In this 100 marks from maths and 50 from physics and 50 from chemistry will be accounted. Then a rank list will be released based on this cutoff mark incl all applicants, it is called general rank list. There will be other rank list like community rank list where the rank will be grouped by community such as BC, MBC, SC/ST. Every college will release a seat matrix based upon their vacancy. Student have to fill a choice list based on their interest. And based on the rank, the software will check the vacancy for seats in the choice order and finally college is alloted.
