My Experience With MCA From Meerut Institute Of Engineering & Technology

The course, MCA is built based on the latest syllabus provided by the AKTU Aka Abdul Kalam Technical University, which has all the essential subjects that are required to clear the fundamentals of advanced concepts in the field of software engineering. People who couldn't pursue B.tech can go for this course as it is the best course which covers all the computer science related subjects which B.tech computer science has. There were around 12 faculties when I was in the college for a batch of 90, so the faculty-student ratio is quite good 1:8. All the faculties were highly qualified with at least. masters in their subject, while some were having a PhD also within their respective subjects. Exams were always on time as it was governed by the AKTU itself which is one of the biggest technical universities in Uttar Pradesh. Regarding the difficulty level, I would say one needs to have fundamentally strong in each subject to get at least passing marks.

After the completion of the 1st year, students get eligible for the placements, (though if you got a decent offer earlier, the college will not stop you from joining that). The placements here are quite amazing, as I said earlier also we have more than 100 companies coming to offer technical jobs for the MCA students, the package range from 2.4 to 12, though most people get anywhere around 4 LPA. In 2022 the placements were nearly 100% with few offers over 10LPA also for MCA. Some of the companies visiting us are: TCS, w3villa, Hexaview, Wipro, etc I have already joined a startup during the very start of my second year as a Software developer.

The cost for the complete 2 years of the MCA program was around 2 lakhs which don't include the hostel charges. Besides the fees, students need to pay an annual exam fee also which is around 9000. Besides this, there are no other hidden charges from the college. Students also have an opportunity to fill AKTU scholarship which is directly under the AKTU and UP govt. Talking about the placements we have at least 100 companies visit each year that offers package from 2.4 LPA to 12 LPA. It depends on the capability of the student and how better he can grab the pay. Talking about myself, I opted for off-campus placement as I got the opportunity at the very start of the second year.

The College has a decent infrastructure though the buildings assign for the MCA course are relatively older and don't have new furniture while the other popular courses like B.tech do have a decent building. The campus has an amazing green area where one can sit and enjoy the freshness of nature. The campus also has several clubs that are both technical and cultural, one can join a club according to their interest, This college is really great at promoting clubs, one special club I want to talk about is a start-up-oriented club which boosts people who want to go for a start-up.

There is not any entrance for taking admission to the MCA course in MIET. One can directly take admission based on the marks obtained in graduation. Usually, they accept students with scores above 60%. Besides the score in graduation, one mandatory thing that you must have is Maths as a subject in your graduation. Application forms, fees and dates all can be enquired via their official website or by going directly into the college and enquiring through the special enquiry block built for the same purpose. There is not any reservation system in this college though seats are not limited, so anyone can get admission very easily. No, the admission process is already very smooth, one can get admission on the same day they arrive at college.
