What Students Say
Likes
- I liked the teachers most, they all are very humble and always encourage us to ask questions. They are very qualified and experienced also.
- I also liked the environment in the classroom and campus. The environment is always competitive and good inside the classroom but very relaxed and calm during the breaks and sports.
- The fests and functions organised by the faculty is always on the time and they are just very good at managing the crowd and festivals.
Dislikes
- They need to improve the class timings. They keep getting the change in class schedule every month which is a little bit difficult to adjust.
- They need to provide and improve the materials in the sports nad extra curricular activities.
- The one thing which I don't like is the management of toilets and water supply within our department.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I liked to solve maths problems and I am always eager to learn new things in maths and physics. The faculties are kind of good. The ratio of students is 3:1, where the boys are in the majority and the girls are in the minority. We got one of the most highly qualified teachers and they are very experienced also. The way of teaching is always on the point. I genuinely liked the pace of teaching. The exams are always on the scheduled time. It is not very difficult to score good marks in the exams. Some questions in the exams are repeated so from here we get the idea of how to study and prepare for exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is not at all costly because it's a government college where students come from villages also. There is no fee hike policy. Yes, there is a good scholarship where you will have most of the fees in refund as a stipend in your account. The financial assistance from college is good because the government colleges haven't that much fees and there is a good stipend.
Campus Life
There is a pretty good annual fest and tech fest per year. The annual fest gets conducted in the month of March and the tech fest is in the month of September. There is abundant availability of books, There are good libraries and librarians who will always be willing to help you. There are all the required items in the classroom to provide us with better education. Extracurricular activities are not done by teachers and students themselves take the initiative to start the activities and sports. There are many WhatsApp groups for students and Facebook pages for different courses.
Admission
For my course, one person had to be a scholar of 10+2 from the state board or cbse board. You have to be a pass out from the PCM course from class 12th. First of all, if you want to take admission to the college, then you have to first apply on the chancellor portal website which will go through a further process by the college. They will provide the cutoff list according to the marks of students. Yes, there are reservation benefits for different caste students like SCs and STs. There are even reserved student seats for BPL candidates. The admission process took a little bit more time than expected, there's so much rush on that. Now the admission criteria have shifted to an all-India entrance exam, that is CUET by NTA, which I personally think is one of the best steps taken.
