Remarks
The college environment is good. The facilities provided here are also good. The problem with the college is that all focus is given on studies only. There are no extracurricular activities, not much sports. Overall it is a good college for pursing BDS.
Entrance Preview
I gave the UPCAT examination. I thought of pursuing MBBS but I think destiny wanted something else. I got to know about this college and the thought of doing BDS came from one of my uncle who is in this profession already.Yes, there was an interview in the college. I had the interview with the dean.
Course Curriculum Overview
I find this course pretty nice and plus my college is a semi-govt college, so it’s great . Everything is based on practical itself. The institute makes us aware of different kind of seminars held all over India and abroad , so that we can apply and learn about new technologies , researches and new way of dentistry. In total there were 18 subjects of oral health that gave us in detail knowledge of dentistry.
Internships Opportunities
Yes , the college provides an internship of 1 year. The internship provides us the practical experience and makes us deal with various different and new cases. On field practices gave us great amount of knowledge. The stipend we get is around 4k per month.
Placement Experience
Some companies come for placement but in medical field placement scenes are rare. Students with good grades get placed. According to me there is no need of any placements or jobs. Almost everyone thinks of setting a private clinic or some even complete there post graduation and join as a faculty in the college itself.
College Events
Fest named “Occlusion” does happen every year in our college. Various colleges participate in it. I won’t say it is amazing but it’s just good. Footfall in it is around 3k. Apart from it various national and international conferences along with paper presentation, seminars are also organised in an year. Annual Sports Meet also happens every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure of every medical college is expensive. However comparing to other private colleges, the fee structure of ITS was little less. Fees structure is 3.75lakh per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not avail for loan. College doesn’t give scholarships but if we have good grades then we are awarded with some fixed money.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are not the way other colleges have and I feel this is a big negative point about my college. Every focus is there on studies only. No promotion is given to the various other talents of the students.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I live in the hostels. They are well equipped and well furnished. The rooms are huge with a personal bathroom. We have 3 bed sharing rooms with separate tables and almirahs for each individual. Food is just okay like all hostels have.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, I very frequently had interaction with our alumni. It is always great to meet them. They tell us about the current situation of this field and various factors how to excel and earn well in this field. I am personally in contact with some so they regularly share about their experiences with me and even guide me how to do well in exams.
Exam Structure
Yes, the labs are very frequent and lab work makes the rest of the day very tiring. Exams are regular but it’s good to have exams or else the course we have is so vast and volatile that we cant remember it in one go.
Faculty
All the faculty are very experienced and well qualified doctors. Although the interactive level depends on person to person but still every faculty members are always ready for any kind of help. ITS has set a high standard of teaching, therefore only it is one of the best dental college of India. The expert teaching and high quality equipments adds feathers to the excellence of the college.
