Course Curriculum Overview

5

Despite being a private college, ITS dental college follows the same academic calender and curriculum that a government college follows. This is because ITS dental college comes under the affiliation of a government owned state university, Atal Bihari Vajpayee medical university in Lucknow. There are three different kinds of examinations. The first term exams are in December with 35% syllabus. The second term exams are in March with 70% syllabus and the final professional examinations are in July with 100% syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

5

Hospitals like Max, Apollo, Fortis and Clove Dental Clinic provide direct placements from campus. The students can intern at the attatched Surya Hospital at ITS dental college. During internship the students are given a stipend amount for the patient work they do. To fulfill the working hours and clinical experience necessary for any foreign exam like USMLE, PLAB and ORE, the college gives the students a minimum QUOTA of the patients they are supposed to treat in a month.

Placement Experience

5

Dentistry is not a semester based placement programme. After BDS, students can be employed in the private dental clinic of ITS itself, or they can secure jobs from big hospital names like Fortis, Clove Dental Clinics, Max and Apollo. • The average package of students per month has been 3 lakh rupees. My plans after the degree are to get a campus placement, and practise for some time. During this time i would be earning good money and focusing on my NEET MDS preparation at the same time.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition Fees: ?3,84,000/- per annum Hostel Fees: variable For AC rooms: • Single seater: ?2,35,000/- per annum • Double seater: ?1,91,000/- per annum • Triple seater: ?1,05,000/- per annum For NON AC rooms: • Single seater: ?2,10,000/- per annum • Double seater: ?1,65,000/- per annum • Triple seater: ?85,000/- per annum Security Fees (refundable): ?40,000/- Miscellaneous (refundable): ?3,00,000/- NOTE: Fees is to be paid for the time being of 4 years only. Campus Life

4.5

• There are 2 compulsory annual festivals at ITS. One is OCCLUSION and the other is EUPHORIA. • OCCLUSION: It is an inter college festival held once a year for 3 days. The first night is a celebrity night with previous performances from mohit chauhan, baadshah, papon and shaan. The other days include various extra curricular activities like dance, modelling, Sports and games. Many dental and medical colleges from all over India, take part in this festival. • EUPHORIA: this is a three day intra college festival, where the first, second, third and fourth year students compete in a series of events like sports, games, dance, and fashion show. • Apart from this, the college celebrates hostel day, pg day, and also birthdays of students, so that they feel like hostel is a home, away from home.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

• The hostel has both AC and Non AC rooms available. The rooms have a single seater, double seater and a triple seater option. • The food is good and tasty. The food is always served hot and the menu changes every month. The timings are a little thin for students to finish eating quickly, but apart from that the food quality is good. • The rooms are available easily whatsoever, but the choices of the alloted room and choice of roomates is considered first come first serve basis.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is amazing. Every professor is passed out or ex faculty of prestigious institutes like MAMC and KGMU. The director principal of the college, Dr. Devi Charan Shetty, is the best professor there is. His way of speaking and teaching makes an impact on his students. He is the HOD of Oral Pathology Department. The dean of UG students, Dr. Piyush Kumar, who is also the head of Orthodontics is also a great professor. He helps students in such a way, that they always feel at home and at ease. He helps the students academically and professionally. There are 3 different kinds of exams. The 1st term exams in December (35% syllabus), the 2nd term exams in March (70% syllabus) and then finally the Professional Exams in July (100% syllabus).

Course Curriculum Overview:

Based on the findings of the study, the common factores that influence me were external influences, affordability, practicality, personal preference, environemnt , facilities, interest.as it is a dental college so the main focus was opd patients which is quite good in this college. Every year there is slight variation when it comes to exams. They are not as difficult as we think.if we have studied well then exams are good to go. A well designed curriculum should equip the students with both foundational knowledge and practical skills and this college has the same. From academic content to problem solving everything is really nice

Choosing a career is one of the most important decision of life, and for me, opting for BTS was a decision drive by a deep interest in healthcare From a young age, I was always curious about the signs of the human body. Dentistry is a unique blend of medicine, artistry, and the patient care As I learn about the field, I discovered the dentistry is not only treating teeth, but also about improving a person's self-esteem, comfort, and overall health Improvements in the course curriculum - early exposure to clinical practice -Enhance focus on soft skill and patient communication -Emphasis on time management, stress management management

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a neet aspirant only i decided i want to go for BDS and not MBBS for BDS is a more specialized course focusing only on the oral cavity and care. There are in total 9 branches under BDS and each branch in itself has huge scope in outer world. We start dealing with real patients from third year only so we have real experience of everything and by the time internship completes, we have enough knowledge to open a clinic of our own. And best part, BHU provides 50% internal qouta for its students so we've a better chance of getting a good pg seat from such a prestigious institution.
