Course Curriculum Overview

4

A doctor is a noble profession that scarifies their life in their to day to day seconds to treat and preserve the ailing humanity and to make society a better place to live and sustain health. I always dreamt of this profession and worked hard for it. The curriculum is one of the most difficult undergraduate courses consisting of a huge gruesome syllabus and a very practical oriented skill learning. It consists of 4 professional exam papers which are conducted by WBHUS and is common to all the medical College of West Bengal. Before appearing for the Prof exam you have to pass all the internal exams with at least 50 per cent marks and attendance of 75 per cent. In our college, there are 3 semesters of internal exams with both theory and practical papers every 3 months. There may also be a class test, seminar, quiz, Self oriented learning and lots of educational curriculums and all students must have to participate in it. The faculty teachers are also great to teach us in a wonderful way

Internships Opportunities

4.5

You have to work very diligently during your internship in all of the departments. What you read and understand in the past 4 years of intense studying is applied in day-to-day life. So your practical knowledge becomes much more effective and strong during the internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

In the MBBS curriculum, you have to pass and study well and pass the 4 professional examinations to get into an internship. During the internship, you get posted to various departments such as surgery, medicine, rural visits, and orthopaedics. It pays you 30000 Rs for 12 months and after completing the internship you get convocated and become a registered doctor. After MBBS, you can apply for house staff ship in your own college depending on the post availability as well as your academic performance throughout the year and final year score which pays you 50000rs a month. You can also apply for interviews at various private medical colleges and apply for the junior doctors in a govt hospital. For better opportunities and to increase the payscale to 2-3 times you have to appear for NEET -PG and do post-graduation. All the students after completing the 4 Proff exams (theory+practical) go into an internship which is a Mandatory part of the MBBS degree. The course pays you well but the workload in internship is high, tiring

Fees and Financial Aid

To get a govt job in the NEET examination is tough and hence is always associated with immense benefits. You have to pay 5000 rupees for every semester and there is 9 semester in the MBBS curriculum. It is cost-effective and very efficient as you can earn handsome rupees of Rs -30000 for 12 months in 1 year of internship. After your MBBS curriculum, you can apply house staff ship for a span of 8-10 months which pays you 50000 rupees a month based on your result in the final proff and overall performance in your college examinations. Then as an MBBS graduate, you can work as a junior resident in a govt hospital and also you can work in a private hospital as a junior doctor and earn rupees 250 per hour. But in order to attain higher posts and payscale post-graduation nowadays is essential because it will further create widespread opportunities for the job with a very well payment scale. As an MBBS doctor, you can still earn a lot depending on your experience, calibre and working hours.

Campus Life

4.5

Our annual college fest "CHRONAXIE" usually is held in November month with great joy and happiness. It is one of the best things that ever happens in the life of a medico as it involves a lot of positive emotions including flash mob, DJ night, band performance, extracurricular cultural excellence and a wide spectrum of healthy interactions. The college library is very good as it contains all the important books in the latest edition for every subject. The reading room is also very good with proper air conditioning, sitting arrangement and a peaceful environment for prolonged studying. The Wifi is also free and the E-Journal is also available at your own benefit absolutely free. In our college, there is a very big football ground and a cricket ground where along with cricket, volleyball is also played. There is a variety of sports competitions arranged yearly including cricmedicoz, football tournaments, badminton, volleyball and also auction-based competition.

Admission

The Admission process was long but not complex. It includes document verification of class 10, and 12 mark sheet, NEET Result, NEET admit card and admission receipt generated by wbmcc as well as the state quota, bond and medical certificate generated by a registered practitioner. I got admitted into Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital in the year 2021. My score to get into the college is 580 (GEN)and I got it in the 1st round itself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very noble. It gives us the power to heal others. When I was a child, i was impressed by the ability and skills of a doctor. The patient family were treating him like god. So i decided to pursue it because of the amount of respect and wealth we gain. In the real world it helps us to become a good person, interact with the injured society and connect to the people emotionally. Teaching methods could be improved by giving more and more real life examples and exposing to the wards and clinics. Learning is more fun when we do more practicals. The college must ensure that more and more practical classes and clinical exposure is given to the students so that they can learn effeciently. The cases of the cirriculum should be given to the students to look how they handle it.

The concept of education is misunderstood my many students. Students want to study in order to make money and become rich so that they can fulfill their wants. Similarly money is invested by parents in terms of the amount of investment it will reap in the future. Because of this reason females are not given much higher education in our country.
