Course Curriculum Overview
IET offers full-time 4-year B.E. programs in 6 branches Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication, Electronics and Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. This college offers a good base for placements and for various higher studies. The student-faculty ratio is quite good in IET DAVV. It has around 80-90 faculty members and there are many visiting faculties. Faculties are quite supportive and the teaching method is quite good. 3 Mid sem test and 1 End sem exam is conducted every semester. It is not much difficult to pass the examinations as the best of 2 out of 3 tests are considered for evaluation. It is also mandatory to appear in at least two MSTs.
Internships Opportunities
There are very few companies that come for internship opportunities in the college. Last year couple of companies came for summer internship opportunities. Those companies offered a good stipend of around 75000 per month and PPOs to the students.
Placement Experience
Companies start coming for placements from the 6th semester in college. Companies like NRI Fintech, Avalara, Persistent, and Barclays. Zscaler etc. visits for campus recruitment and around 35 companies come for recruitment every year. Around 770 offers were given last year. The highest package was 28 lakhs and the average package was around 7.6 LPA. Around 90-95% of students got placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are around 80000 per year and there are not many hikes in the fees. There are many scholarships like MMVY, MMJKY, and Post metric scholarships for SC, ST, and OBC students. Campus placements are quite good with an average CTC of around 7.5 LPA (NOT OFFICIAL DATA) and around 30-35 companies visit the college for recruitment.
Campus Life
Annual Fest: Ashkan Central India's largest cultural fest is conducted in February or March. Tech Fest: Like E-Day Library: The college library has all types of books but there is no place to sit and read books. There is no sports ground and equipment in the college. There are many clubs and social groups like Ecell, Tech Club, Goonj, NSS, EWB, Ishrae, and Baja (Mechanical clubs).
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is quite decent in the hostel. Hostel rooms have Beds, chairs, tables, an almirah, etc. Hostel mess food is not up to the mark. For the hostel allotment form to be circulated you have to fill out the form to get a hostel. The hostel is allocated on a First Come First Serve basis. Hostel fees are affordable it is around 20000 per year.
Admission
Eligibility of Admission : Admission is offered to a candidate who has qualified in the 10+2 examination and appeared in the JEE-MAINS examination conducted by NTA. Admission Process : The admission process is strictly in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Bhopal. The admission process shall take place through counseling conducted by MP DTE, Bhopal. Reservation Rules : Reservation rules are as per the MP government rules. Registration : The admitted candidates are required to register for the program in each semester as per the schedule announced at the beginning of the semester. Improvement in Admission process. Better arrangements for fee payment should be done.
