IIT BHU--A student view

After the counselling Jossa, I got a seat in IIT BHU for the biomedical course. Initially, I did not have much idea about the course. After completing my course, I have a good idea about the scope and future aspects of Biomedical engineering. It is a interdisciplinary course which means one can use their specific core knowledge to do engineered applications. it has its sub-roots in biomechanics, Bio-instrumentation, Artificial intelligence and Bio-polymers, Biocreamics, Biomechanics and whatnot It is quite a new course with respect but has great future potential. student ratio in IIT BHU for Biomedical courses is about 15-25 students. Faculties are generally highly qualified and with great research experience in their field. Exams are usually divided into Midterm and end term with 30 and 70 per cent weightage respectively. other than Lab and practical exams also conducted which adjusted in mid-term and end-term. It is not much difficult to clear or pass the exam.

I did a summer internship remotely with a startup Zoethos India Pvt. ltd as a software developer. I worked on the project for making their web application truly globalised by adding language customization features to their application.

Being an IIT and having its own 100 years history, has a huge alumni network. more than 300 hundred companies visited for campus placements and conducted a test interview process for selection. the highest package is 2.04 crore and 4 students were successful in getting a package of more than 1 crore. avg package 10 lakhs. mostly companies visited for software engineering, data scientists, data analysis, teaching faculty and core fields of mining engineering etc.

For general category students, Tuition fees are 1 Lakh Academic Fees 6-8 thousand Mess fees 12000 for SC, ST, and PWD Tuition Fees waived off. National Scholarship Portal students used to get scholarship assistance. Except for NSP, Many scholarships avails to needy students.

This is the best part of any college or More specifically of an IIT. the life other than academics where he used to spend most of his time, the clubs, societies and culture. Two main fests were conducted at IIT BHU. Kashi Yatra ( cultural festival) and Technex (Technical fest). The main library is available for the student of IIT BHU with full access to most of the important journals. all sports clubs are available with the trainer and coaches. in every aspect of society, one can find a club. science and tech council( COPS club of Programmers, AMC aeromodelling Club, RC robotics clubs) Social service council ( Kashi Utkarsh, Sahyog, Health and Hygiene Club) sports council film and media council ( photog club, cine club, Outreach Club)

Rooms are 2 people sharing a room with a facility of ceiling fan, table chairs and wifi and rest basic necessary facility are obvious. The mess of IIT BHU is the best in all IITs Mess. best quality food served with good service of mess workers. all mess workers are very caring and dedicated towards their service. Every year of the session starts one gets allocated a hostel. Hostel facility available for all the students who get admission to IIT BHU.

Eligibility criteria- Academic Criteria--Must have Min aggregate 75% (Gen, OBC) and 65% (SC, ST, PWD, Others) Qulafited Joint Entrance Exam Mains and Advanced in the respective category. For taking admission in an iit. there is an entrance exam on pan India conducted by govt. agencies named Joint entrance exam. for attempting the entrance exam aspirant must have a minimum of 75% in higher secondary (Gen, OBC category) and a minimum of 65 % (SC category). every year JEE advanced exam is conducted. the application process started in January itself. only qualifiers of JEE Mains get a chance to attempt for JEE advance. Application Fee for JEE advance 1500 ( GEN, OBC) and 800/- (SC, ST, EWS). IITs are managed by the central Govt. therefore there are some category-wise reservation benefits which depicted in the result cut-off of JEE advance. The Counselling Process start for all the qualifiers of JEE advance and the top 1 per cent get the IIT seat.
